Thx Yankee! LoL Yes that was my daughters doing. There is Spongebob, Patrick, and now Sandy. She is still sitting on our bar and hasn't made it to the tank yet. We (daughter wanted her to join the others in the tank) picked her up last nite at Walmart. She gets a kick out of being able to put stuff in the tank since it is so low and she can reach the bottom of the tank. She placed Spongebob and Patrick where they are now. Later today I will let her put Sandy in there. She won't get into the tank without me being there so I am not worried about her rearranging the tank by herself.LoL

have you thought about doing a shrimp colony in there too? the puffers should eat those too... they do like crustations. getting a small starter of red cherries would prob be your cheapest bet. but it would also give your daughter something to look at in the tank.

I have actually given that some thought but in the main tank. There use to be a guy on here who had a colony that lived with his Dwarf puffers. He had a huge clump of Java Moss in there for the shrimp to hide. So they were able to survive enough to reproduce but the Puffers kept the colony in check. I have always wanted to do something like that. My Java moss isn't big enough for that yet. It grows slowly in my tank. Another thing I have given thought is ordering Scuds and putting them in the 10 galllon.

Oh forgot to add this in my last post. As for Mckayla haven.something to look at in the tank. She doesn't pay much attention to the tanks anymore. She did for the first year I had a tank but has lost interest in watching the fish. She hasn't however lost interest in "helping" me clean and decorate the tanks. LoL So I don't think she would care if there is something in the tank or not as long as she gets to help with it.

This sounds cool, I wouldn't mind setting up a shrimp colony with my pea puffers. Whatever keeps them eating. They nibble on the bloodworms now, but a regular source of food in the tank would be awesome.

Plus, I've never kept shrimp.

I have never had Shrimp either. I have always wanted some though! Ever since I heard of the idea of keeping RCS with the puffers as a source of food in the tank I have wanted to try it. Wish the guy was still around to ask him how the tank is doing.
My little guys still won't take the bloodworms. They won't even pay attention to them. I seriously need to go get some tweezers and see if I can get them to eat some that way. They are still eating the snails and love them but I need another food source for them.

I'm just watching you and learning, John! Someday I want to keep these fussy little fish, hopefully I'll be able to have some idea what I'm doing from you and C.F.

I love shrimp, too - have always wanted them (NOT as a food source *cries*) But. . . don't they also need the harder water for their shells? Darn soft water! I KNOW that there are some types of shrimp that live, like, in the Amazon and such (soft soft soft water), so they MUST be out there! LOL... sorry... random... :D
