This is my Puffer tank. Its a 29 gallon tank that is a little over half way full of water due to some plants I am trying to grow emersed.

Yes that's an Angelfish. I will get to that in a moment.
First some pics of the plants.

Crypt Wendtii "red", Java moss, a dwarf sword (forgot the actual name), some more Java moss, and a small peace lily (I grew one of these years ago in a frog tank once. It gets huge yes I know.)

My Dwarf Sagittaria that is taken forever to grow!

My different Anubias.

Some more Anubias. I really like Anubias so I have some different types.

Finally This last pic is of my 55 gallon before it failed. Freshwater aquarium Aquarium decor Aquarium lighting Aquarium Organism
This is the tank I had 5 beautiful Angelfish in. Fungus exploded in it from some wood and killed all but the one Angel you see in my puffer tank. I put it in that tank as it is the only other tank I have running. I torn down my 55 to redo it with the hopes to getting it back up and running so I could move my Angel back. Well I decided it was going to be more work then I can take on right now plus funds are a little low. So I have decided that the 55 is going to be down until after the Holidays and probably till spring. So I am going to re-home the Angel as its not in a big enough tank for it.
P.s. Sorry for bad pics!

No just got mad and upped the flow from my filter and pointed it at the surface! It pushing all my floating plants to one side but is breaking up the scum ..

This tank may become the first tank I have had without floating plants! I am thinking about take them out and moving the spraybar up so that it hits nothing but the surface.

There is no detriment to the protein film... I noticed a bit of one in my 90g today during the water change. This is about the only tank I see it in, and haven't for several weeks now.

It nasty through! Plus when I stick my hand in there it breaks up and you can see particles floating from it. I have to wonder how it effects floating plants?? Cause I can't seem to get any to grow well in this tank. Water sprite for instance does well in all my other tanks but in this it doesn't. After while it gets a coating on it and begins to die. Same thing with Frogbit.

In tis situation, you could take out the floating plants and increase surface movement as you suggested, and allow some stem plants to grow up and partially along the surface. This would give the puffers their cover.

I barely had enought time to move them over before work cause I started late soo no pics.

I will do my best to get a video tomorrow of them in their new home! Ohh and I hope they like it in there cause there's no chance in **** of me getting them out of this tank!

Jes there you are! You are going to have to come around more often! I thinks it needs to rain up there for y'all then you will have time inside! LoL

I would like to have a male badis but I have to find someone who has one so I can order him. Through I am in no big hurry for one and haven't even been looking. LoL

I think the tank looks great stocked with the ! Rasboras. They made a great addition to the tank and they are always out and about!

That tank is pure perfection, John. Really - I LOVE it. You've brought it so far. . . so awesome that stocking is now complete (except, *MAYBE* for a badis, eventually) The plants look great, the scape looks great, all the fish are happy, and SO complimentary to each-other. GREAT work. Now we just get to watch it grow! That's the best part, neh?!! *HUGS*

I hear ya! All sunshine aside, I've been so swamped. Tomorrow is the last day of school! So that will free up a lot of time, still busy, but a bit less. Hoping have at least a bit more time to come and play on TFK! I need a phone like yours so I can cruise TFK while the girls are in the pool!

Thank you Jes!! I love the stock of fish in there for sure! Through the aquascape is a different story. I like the way it looks *now* but it will probably bug me shortly. I really want those stupid Crypts to grow! That's whats bugging me the most! LoL

Soo I have been super busy the past couple of days. My daughter had dental surgery on Friday. Saturday I had a fish trip with ppl at work and obviously today was fathers day not to mention I had to cut my grass today too. I did manage to get my water changes done on my tanks today. Tomorrow I have to go see about getting a new phone as mine is shot! It has lost its freaking mind but still works some what as I am using it but I don't know for how much longer it will. So with that said I *might* be able to get some shots of the tanks tomorrow but if not definitely Wednesday as I am off that day.

Ohh if anyone needs some or wants some Water sprite let me know as I have some growing in an outdoor tub. It had been doing good but at this point its starting to form aerial leaves. So those will have to be cut off but the plant(s) will still do well in an aquarium. These are trimmings I took out of my tanks for the last couple of weeks.

Here are a few pics of my tanks....

The 10 gallon with 1 Scarlet Badis, 15 ! Rasboras (aka Sparrow Rasboras), and 9 Salt and Pepper Cory.

Now here is the Puffer tank.

The stems in this tank are going good!

The dwarf Sagittaria is getting a lil taller.

I did move my spray bar to the very top so it moves the surface. I haven't taken out the Frogbit yet as it seems to be doing ok at the moment . The scum is there for the time being. I did go 2 weeks without fertilizing and I don't have any algae in this tank thus far. So today I added some and will see how it does once a week with fertilizer.
Here is the Frogbit one side of the tank due to the current.

The other side closest to the spraybar...
