This is my Puffer tank. Its a 29 gallon tank that is a little over half way full of water due to some plants I am trying to grow emersed.

Yes that's an Angelfish. I will get to that in a moment.
First some pics of the plants.

Crypt Wendtii "red", Java moss, a dwarf sword (forgot the actual name), some more Java moss, and a small peace lily (I grew one of these years ago in a frog tank once. It gets huge yes I know.)

My Dwarf Sagittaria that is taken forever to grow!

My different Anubias.

Some more Anubias. I really like Anubias so I have some different types.

Finally This last pic is of my 55 gallon before it failed. Freshwater aquarium Aquarium decor Aquarium lighting Aquarium Organism
This is the tank I had 5 beautiful Angelfish in. Fungus exploded in it from some wood and killed all but the one Angel you see in my puffer tank. I put it in that tank as it is the only other tank I have running. I torn down my 55 to redo it with the hopes to getting it back up and running so I could move my Angel back. Well I decided it was going to be more work then I can take on right now plus funds are a little low. So I have decided that the 55 is going to be down until after the Holidays and probably till spring. So I am going to re-home the Angel as its not in a big enough tank for it.
P.s. Sorry for bad pics!

That's my thinking. I would move everything from the 10,29(minus the puffer obviously),5.5, and 1 gallon into the 40b. This is obviously more of a dream right now but that's what I am thinking of doing when the Puffer is going :)( ). Still not sure about the betta.

Hmmm... What I'd probably do in your case is set up the 40B and move the microfish in there. And either reserve the 10 for the puffer and the 5.5 for the betta until they go, or divide the 10 for the puffer and betta. That would leave you with three tanks while you are stocking the 40B and once that's fully stocked you can take down the QT and just have two tanks.

I don't think I could take the puffer out of the 29 and have him in a divided 10 with the betta. That's going from lots of run to no room! I appreciate the suggestion Izzy I really do but I will wait till the puffer is gone before I do anything. Plus that gives me time to find/make a stand, get lights, and hood for the 40.

So I know I have been slagging on updating my thread here and I am Sorry!

Today I took some of my plants out of my QT plant tank and put them in my Puffer tank. I also I have some crypts coming in the coming days from a member on here. I left some of the plants in the QT as I *might* use them to start a emersed tank to grow plants. I haven't totally made my mind up yet. So till I do the plants will stay in there.

I took out my Broad leaf Sagittaria out of the Scarlet Badis tank. It wad just barely surviving. It would put of new leaves but at the same time lose leaves. So I put it in the QT for the time being as it had more light in there which I think was some of the plants issue. I planted a crypt in its place. LoL

The ! rasbora are doing really well. They have started to color up some and are not hiding ad much. My Corys and my Scarlet Badis are also doing well.

My puffer and shrimp tank is starting to look better with the addition of the plants. Th Frogbit on the other hand doesn't seem to liking it in there and has been going through a melt or dieing off phase. Nit sure if it will make it long term in there.

My apple snails and Betta tank is doing good too.
I still have tons of snails in there through!! So as of tomorrow I am taken all of them to my local fish store! I need them/want them gone. LoL

I will see if I can get some new pics of the tanks all of them! Might also see if I can get a video as well.

Oh my goodness I love those and have been looking at them so much here lately.

What size tank do you keep him in ? I have a empty brand new 5 gallon I bought just because it was on sell and now I just cant decide what I want to put in it.

He is in a 29 gallon tank. Just him and a few Red Cherry Shrimp. I know a awful big tank for such a small fish. Well I use to have more in there. Well through mishaps and not having the right food at the time I have lost some.

I personally won't keep them in a tank less then a 10 gallon. These lil fish love to explore. They are also messy eaters. So filtration could be tricky in a tank that size for such a messy fish.

He is AWESOME, Sheila! (the fish has no name, his name is 'He' by default. As far as *I* am concerned, anyway, lol!) I'm with you. DP are one of the fish that I've been in love with for a long, long time. They make me swooooon!!!

I have a whole list of 'one day' fish, and MOST of John's are on it! At least he's sweet enough to share pics and vids with us of his amazing tanks, and all of the successes and problems he has along the way *luffs John* If there is anyone who can pass on tried and true input on these lil' cuties, it's him ^.^

Speaking of pics and vids. . . I hear there's an update brewing!!! *ish excited*

OK will start with the ! Rasboras...
They are still in QT but are looking nicer and nicer everyday! They have just about gotten use to being here. They seem to eat everything I put in there. I usually feed them NLS small fish formula that I have crush up. I also feed them Daphnia once a week. The other day I bought them a different brand of food just so they have something different to eat. Its a Omega One food, not sure the specific name of the food but they seem to like it too.

Those are not the best pics soo I took a crappy video too!

Time for updating the Scarlet Badis and the Salt and Pepper cory tank.

Nothing new really has happen here. The female Badis doing good still wont eat anything that doesnt move. The Corys are constantly surface the tank for food it looks like and when they are not they will be laying on the leaves of my plants. Esp. the leaves of my Anubias Coffeefolia

Again crappy pics = crappy video

The puffer's tank I haven't updated in awhile and for the life of me i don't know why I didn't take more then just one pic today of it... I thought I had but apparently didn't. :-?

So here it is...

I did take a video of this tank as well

Excuse the blood curling scream at the end of the video. My daughter got a lil mad cause she couldn't get the lid on a marker. :|

Thanks so much for sharing the pictures and the videos ! I enjoyed them very much even the scream from your daughter to cute...lol Your a plant guy too I see, I love plants, I have Ancharis, Horrnwort, Water Sprite, and I love my Banana Lilly. Your plants look great and I could tell all your fish really enjoy and appreciate them. I was blown away watching your Puffer he is as awesome as I knew he would be, love him and was surprised that he seemed bigger than I though he would be.

Your right about the tank size I dont think a 5 gallon would be big enough and if I ever got one I would want him to have all the room he needed to swim an explore. I might need to put that idea on the back burner for awhile. Maybe I will try a planted tank with some shrimp for the 5 gallon, oh and I loved so much seeing your shrimp swimming with the puffer that was beyond adorable !

Ohhh yes I love my plants! They make and give the tank a natural feel. The fish do seem to enjoy them as well.

I am glad you can see now why I wouldn't put a Dwarf puffer in a 5 gallon now. He is as big as he is going to get. Just around an inch. He might seem a lil bigger then you had thought but I still lose him from time to time in my tank cause of his size. LoL
If you ever come down Chattanooga way let me know and you can see him in person to get a better idea of his size.

I sure agree with that I am addicted to live plants being in my tank and so is my Betta Perseus he loves them so much that he has even been known to knock the pond snails off them..lol

I feel like they are my back up system in using up the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate. I feel so much safer with them in the tank so along with my weekly 50 percent water and using Prime I have so much less worry and of course having my tank cycled, love that BB !

I knew it and was so close in asking where you lived, I could just feel that TN or southern talk in your posts...lol That is awesome and thanks for the invite, I dont do much traveling but if I am ever down your way I would love to stop by and see your fish and tanks and to swoon over your Puffer, to see him in person might be to much for me to handle though I might just kill over, you should see my at my local pet shop they have been getting in some new fish, no Puffers but they have a couple of Oscars I go nuts for , I stand there and talk to them and they really seem to enjoy interacting with me, now maybe the people around might think I am abit crazy but I just smile at them and try to act or normal as possible...lol

LoL. can't mistake southern ppl even in text apparently!
I don't travel very much at all either but I have gone to Knoxville a couple if times to visit the fish stores there. I don't actually live in Chattanooga but about 30 miles northeast of it and about 90miles south of Knoxville. I don't have any good fish stores here. One local one that's hit or miss sometimes on what they got. So I have to travel to get anything or order it.
The last fish store I went to in Knoxville was Aquarium. Its nicer then anything near me!
