Yeah the females do seem to have some blueish coloring. No where near the males they have pictured. I wouldn't be too worried.

LoL as soon as I let them out of the bag they made a mad dash for the Hornwort for cover. Hoping over the next couple of days they will come out more and I will be able to get better pics of them. Until hope y'all enjoy these pics!

They are beautiful lil fish for sure! I do hope they become more visible!
The store had them on some not so good food. Just Baby brine shrimp and bloodworms as their main diet and Aquadine on occasion.
So tomorrow I gotta call around and see if I can find some New life spectrum Small fish formula. I am also going to see if I can get them to take frozen Daphnia. I have the foods they were feeding foe now but seriously need to get them other stuff.

OMG! The cat. . . that SUCKS!!! Gah, I'm sorry, John - the tank was gorgeous! I'm sure it'll regrow to be even better!

OMG! Are those Scarlet Gem Badis? I LOVE them and have always dreamed of keeping them, too - just like Puffers! *swoons* I'm sorry - been so busy I really didn't read through what I've missed (kids are right here begging for playdough, lol)! They'll be living with the puffers? I've always read that both of those fish should be species-only - I hope that goes well, can't wait to see how this works out. . . as I've always wanted both fish. . . I'm REALLY watching to learn from your experiences!

Sorry to have been away! Please keep this updated!!!

Hey Jes, Glad to see ya! No worries about being away. Unfortunately we all have other things to attend to then our fish and the forum.

Yes, Those are Scarlet Gem Badis (Dario Dario) and heavens NO they are not in with Puffer! LoL They are in my breeding tank for my snails. Its a 10 gallon that they have all to themselves well they have to deal the snails LoL.

I have never seen Dario Dario in person before my LFS got them in stock a few weeks ago. I saw pics of them here in the profiles and thought they were pretty fish. Well the pics just don't do the justice! They are MUCH prettier in person! So I had to get them! LoL but it took me a couple of weeks to buildup my nerve to get them as they are sooo small! These guys are probably only 1.5cm and they only get to 2cm O.o itty bitty!!!!

Ooooooh, JOHN! Do you know. . . when I was first looking through fish profiles to figure out what I loved the best, Bolivian Rams, Dwarf Puffers, and Scarlet Gem Badis were three of the very first fish that I fell in love with - and I've never moved past them! I got my rams, but I'm not ready for the tiny guys yet! Congratulations on the new additions, I'm ridiculously jealous - and thrilled for you! I'll be paying close attention to how you manage these tiny beauties, as well as the Puffers - so that one day when I get them, I'll know just what to expect!!!

Lucky boy!!!
