It's quite scary to watch them do it. I keep my puffers with shrimp and oto cats. But yes it is quite easy to fall in love with the little buggers no matter how messy they are <3 They are absolutely adorable and have so much personality. ^^
What size tank do you do this in?

Amazon puffers get much larger than dwarf puffers, but can live with some community fish. They are some of the least aggressive puffers.

I keep mine with a Red Tailed Shark and they all respect each other enough to keep their distance.

Like Bored said, dwarf Puffers I would definitely only keep with other dwarf puffers.

I read Otos were ok also, on a dwarf puffer only site.

I FINALLY remembered to get white worms when I was at the LFS today. I remembered just as I was about to leave. Gonna try them tonight. Only 2 of my pea puffers eat blood worms, and only one actually seems to like them.

Update on my lil puffers that didn't make it ;(
I couldn't ever get 2 of them to eat anything. One would eat snails but he/she is the one that got caught in my filter right after I switched to a canister and didn't put a sponge on the intake like an *** !
I have talk to my LFS and they can get some more and this time they are able to talk to the suppier and tell them what size and gender they want shipped. Plus now they have live blackworms which is great. Plus I am going to start a culture of either grindal or whiteworms before I order some more puffers. No more being unprepared for me.

Sorry to hear about your puffers. I lost one of each of mine, before they started eating, so I have two of each left. They're all eating, aggressively. Your LFS is WAY more accommodating at bringing fish in than mine is. I had yoyo loaches on my wish list since I cycled a tank in May, they still haven't got them in. I don't think I have space for them anymore.

Your tank is looking great! Are those plants that require being partially out of the water?

My LFS uses two suppliers to get fish in from. Anything the suppliers have the store will order for a customer. They are great that way and only recently have they been abject to actually start requesting what size and gender which is also great.

Some of the plants up there can grow either way. 3 of them have to have their leaves above the water to stay alive.
