Whoa.. that kuhli looks massive :D

To be honest, I'm not sure that I'm overly keen on the mixture of white sand and black gravel - it's just too much of a stark contrast.

The main thing though is that you like it, and if you're happy with it then I'd keep it the way it is.

If it were me, I think I'd be tempted to replace all of the sand with black gravel. Either that or have gravel on both sides with a path of sand in the middle leading to the centre of the tank.

That looks like a nice hiding spot you have there for the firemouth :)

that would be really cool ill post pics when i do that tonight :D
i but the gravel in there cuz the sand bleaches the fish out you should have seen the fire mouth before i put the gravel in (you could hardly see any orange on him :o )
he is a ton cooler now

Awww...the Firemouth is sharing his cave with the Kuhli.

That looks pretty cool. I'm sure the black gravel with bring out the colors nicely in the firemouth but I can see why you want some sand for the Kuhli to play in also. Although, I did like that big long piece of wood you had in the old setup.

Your FM might just eat the kuhli loaches and Columbian tetras. Nice tank though.

Hmmm...I don't know if it would look right. You could try it and see how it looks. If you don't like it you could always take it out.
