Bekah. I may have to stealy one of those "10+ available" light fixtures.
Hubby saw me looking up new versa tops for the aquarium and offered to get one of them and a new light fixture for the tank.
I dont feel like my tank could use a new light fixture. But Hes insisting. I am currently doing some research on using blue/white bulbs with plants. Cause that's what this fixture comes with.

Also I am going from 6,500k to one of those bulbs being 10,000k. It doesn't even list what k the blue bulb is at.
Not sure what kinda demands that would cause for my plants.

I liked 10,000K for my plants. Actinics are saltwater things though......freshwater doesn't need them......I'm gonna see whether they'll be restocking the 6500k fixture.

Someone told me that the blue bulb would cause me to be lacking in the red spectrum for my plants
Says full spectrum or daylight bulbs have equal parts of red, green and blue for plants.
So it maybe a few dollars more, but I think I am gonna go with this one. It specifically says it is for plants. Same wattage. Is HO but less k. It is 6,500k instead of 10,000k

I should get some aquarium sealant and slate or rocks and make caves...
