The glass is like 3/8 inch thick


and yep i really pulled the bottom out

Did you get rid of the chip area? Awesome you aren't afraid of doing that.. I would be tempted to reinstall that with thinner piece on top of it. Wish I knew a glasscutter that worked cheep. Way to go!

Did you pull it out on purpose? You know you only have to pull/scrape out the visible silicone right? Not the silicone inbetween the panes....

As promised, have some pictures of my lovely mess. Tuesday, I think I'm going to do the leak testing. pray with me that it works! lol





i'll probably scrape up the unnecessary stuff. if i'm not too lazy. :D
