HE DOOEEESSSSSS. . . <3 Botia kubotai. . . that's a whole 'nother thing, whole 'nother fish, also very, very rare to see in captivity - and you know this!! ^.^ Seems to me that those who DO spawn the 'unspawnable' loaches in captivity do so purely by accident. :/

Well. . . if you want to try to figure out what I can do to trigger spawning while I have a zillion of them in QT, feel free to let me know. Can't hurt to try! I'll STILL never know how many I have in there until I have to get them all out, and I DO have Jaysee's Magical WonderMoss here. Perhaps the mystical loach spawn inducing power lies locked within it's too-green fluffiness??? All you need is WonderMoss. . .

All spawning nonsense aside, this particular (vile) shop, as well as many of the other LFS around here, have not been able to get any Pangio sp. but oblonga in for over a year until I got the first call to let me know a shipment had arrived. They aren't Kuhli, but they've gotten them TWICE now. True "Kuhli loaches" (heh) have been showing up all over the place again, too. . . I know they'll order them again. . . I can't help but wonder, wherever they're coming from, if the third time is the charm, so to speak? WILL we see Cuneys again? I'm fairly certain they'll call if/when they get another batch of anything stripey. Feel like they have my number on speed dial. . . I also have to wonder if these are about to become more common in the states, in general. I've been told that they're seen frequently enough in England. *shrugs*

ANOTHER MYSTERY!!!

Yes, they are angelicus loaches. And now you can say you've seen pangios breeding

Nice!!! Looks like the other fish were really enjoying that. I couldn't remember exactly which species of loach you had spawn. Was hoping it wasn't the angelicus because I suck at spelling. lol

I didn't do a water change for like a month and then did my normal 80% change.

I have SO MUCH to update you guys on, both good and bad - some of it very, very sad. . . updates are in the works for this and the kindy thread. . . just been a lot going on. For RIGHT NOW, before I forget (again!) here's an older video of the 10g QT tank - home to 27 loachlings.

This video is from May, back when they were newer and still nervous - I'd go the entire day without being able to find a single fish in there - but the moment the food hit the water. . . well, watch and see ^.^ (sorry for the shaky cam and the not-so-great choice of music. It was the right length, and I wasn't originally planning to share this vid on forum, lol, just want to put SOMETHING up to let y'all know I'm still alive!!!)

http://youtu.be/yJKOCq-9z6s

(sorry, it won't embed for me right now *BANGSHEAD*)

At this point they've settled in beautifully, and lost most of their shyness. I always see something like 10 or so out and about at all times. . . I don't expect them to be fully comfortable until they get into community, as these guys seem to be much less shy with dithers about. I have no idea how many are actually in there, or if there have been any losses, but those I do see seem happy and healthy as can be. They make me happy, I can't wait to get the 125g set up and turn them loose with the rest of the shoal that's already living in Becoming 55. . .

Sorry, again, that I've been missing around here lately. I don't know why I thought things would calm down when summertime came, but they haven't - only gotten busier! I love you guys, and I miss my TFK crew - I've been trying to catch up on all of your threads, but if I haven't gotten that far yet, bear with me! I'm trying to devote as much time as I can to this lovely forum, and all my friends here. . . *HUGS*
