I. . . can't even begin to imagine a tank of that size in my house! I'm not jealous. That's too much tank for me! I hope he really appreciates it - and that luck drops a giant tank (gently) in your lap soon, too! *giggle*

Gently -next- to me would be just fine. LOL Grandma said if I ever came across a big one, I could have the basement and do as I like. I could certainly use a tank that big. A 500 gallon tank would be big enough for every single fish I have, babies and all, without being considered over-stocked in the least. o_o; At least I think, I did not do any actual math here...about 40-50 livebearers in a well planted 500 gallon? lol Be about ten gallons per fish...That sounds about right for fish that are two to three inches...eh, maybe not, take ten out and it'd be perfect. :3

I hate the one inch per gallon rule people toss around. >_>; People wouldn't put a ten inch fish in a ten gallon tank...would they? =O I like to give them double or triple, depending on the type of fish. Small lazy fish wouldn't mind as much. lol

Ugh, I have a cold and have had ten hours of sleep in the past four days all together...so if I mess up something...just look past it. xD Had to go back and fix typos in my last post too.

lol, Sylver. . . I want small, lazy fish!

Anyway, it doesn't matter how many of what kind of fish you would put into said imaginary tank. You would STILL end up overstocked with zillions of babies! I just have this feeling. . . even if you only had ONE 500 inch fish!

<_<; I probably would. I dig my own grave daily. lol I keep thinking "Well, I got room for this now! Wait....nevermind, someone just popped out a hundred babies for me to raise." Well, speaking of babies, got some new creamsicle mix molly babies today. The plus side to mollies is they grow fast and I can get them out in a mere three or four months...platies and swordtails take six to eight though, geez. x.x

:o A fishroom library sounds like a DREAM room!!! I do hope you can make it come true! Glad to hear you have some people around who are wise to the ways of physics.

I think I would actually turn down a free 500 gal tank. I would have nowhere to put it as well as I would have to move it or store it for a while before I settle down in a permanent residence. I really don't want to lug something like that across states.

Darn those laws of physics... always keeping stuff in order <pouts>

Go Chesh! Zooooooom through that living room and get it all done. Noooow - not that there's any pressure or anything, you know.

lol Have a garage sale!

And yes, I have dozens of imaginary tanks. I also have an imaginary pet shop of my own. >>; And if I had a tank that big, it would go with me when I moved even if it killed me to do it, and I would do it.

LOL! . . . why is it always you who ends up bullying me into posting? *hugs* Thanks for that - I need the encouragement! I suck at keeping journals. I'm not lurking, anyway!

I agree with you. And it has to be soon, or we'll be onto round FOUR and I'll never catch up! ^.^

I want to, just been so busy with life, the universe, and everything lately. Birthdays, weddings, field trips, grand events. . . and as usual all of these spawn a rash of photos that culminates in my computer being stuffed to the proverbial gills, and I can't find a thing! It's much easier to type up a quick reply than to sort through zillions of files to find the ones I'm looking for at the moment. I'm usually so insanely organized with these things, but . . . haven't had time for anything but a drop and run to clear my memory card. Just a few hours from now my sweet lil' sister will officially become a Mrs. and hopefully things will settle down for a minute or two! I hope so. I need a chance to breathe. . .

Anyway, don't expect too much photo/vid wise. I got some shots, but they aren't very good. . . my rambabies tucked themselves away nicely in the middle of a jungle of crypts at the back of the tank. While I'm thrilled that they're enjoying my C.lutea 'forest' so much, it doesn't translate very well to decent photography! *giggle* Just happy I get to sit an watch. . . love those fishies. *GRINS*

Jes I don't think you could ever take a bad photo! Atleast I have never seen you post one. Also I "bully" you in to posting as you soo call it cause I enjoy seeing your tank. Its so lush and full of life and I know others enjoy it too! I will take a written description of the tank any day over silence!

Edit: Glad to hear the Rambabies are still doing good! I bet they enjoy it in there!
