I acquired a group of Danio Sp. KP1, and a group of Danio Sp. Tw01. Plans are to breed these rarer Danios, and get them into the hands of serious other breeders. I had no intension of re-opening the fishroom, until these were offered to me

Will do!! They are basically just fry themselves at this point. Can't even tell the m-f ratio yet. Should have some fry by late summer to early fall. I will keep you updated. These kinda fell out of the sky to me. Got an email from a breeder I sold some Wanamensis Rainbows to a LONG time ago. He wanted to get some of these Danios, and wanted to split the cost. Can't say no to rare fish. It's an affliction I can't seem to shake.

-googles- Those are gold ring and black barred danios, right? Newly discovered? Those pretty little fish! I'd like to get my hands on some true red sailfin mollies and red dalmations. Probably not as rare...may not even be rare at all in some places, but I've been trying to get in a few for a couple years now. I would love to breed them. Livebearers are easier, so it's not as big of a deal, it's just a matter of FINDING them!

And woohoo! EGGIES! Go Liz. =) Sounds like dad figured it out this time. lol Now if they could just continue as they're supposed to should you get fry again. I'm so excited for you, again. xD I have a feeling it will work out this time!

Those are one of the common names these fish go by. Once they are officially described then they will have a given scientific name, and an accepted common name. Both were just recently discovered, and not very common in the hobby. We need to breed these and get them in circulation. Even if in just local regions at first, then they will spread from there. The fish I am getting are coming from Myanmar. They are of course wild caught.

If anyone is the guy for the job, it's YOUUUUU!

You should start a breeding/tank log. . . so we can all learn from you. You've got mad skills, and loads of experience. Plus??! Planted tanks now, too - which you know we all go gaagaa for, and yours are too pretty. . .

YAY! Do you think you'd be able to get a video? Or are you trying to give them their space? I'm SO HAPPY they've tried again, it's so exciting!

Yay the eggs are still there I read up on the parkinsoni rainbows and they need moss to lay eggs on which I don't have right now but will have next weekend when my plant order arrives and another tank which I don't have right now I have the 5 gallon beta tank at work which I took down last week after the last beta died and its in the closet long story short I have to move in a week to a different position in the hospital and although I had the ok to take the tank with me since I take care of it I didn't want to take it with me to the nurses station since I am changing from an out patient position to an in patient position I could bring it home I suppose but we were hoping to set it back up when things settled back down. My male parkinsoni is huge he's 6 inches long we call him the salmon I have 4 types of rainbows in my 120 gallon can you start a tank journal when it's been running for quite some time

You can use a spawning mop made from yarn also. They will spawn readily in it. Then move the mop to a separate tank, to hatch, and grow out the fry.
