I'm curious about the lil' rams, too! So far C.Cat and Liz have been the only ones to spawn, two times, almost exactly a month apart. I'm thinking they're a bonded pair, but . . . time will tell? All of the females have now reached breeding age, but the only other male is still a juvie. Interesting, the other females also get busy cleaning rocks when they're ready for a mate, but so far C.Cat has left them alone, apart from 'flirting' with Hattie that one time. Really interesting behavior. I suspect they'll be ready to give things another go somewhere in the 2nd week of April. . . we shall see! There's no way I can set them up a tank for another month or two, but I do plan to at some point this spring/summer. Just hope they stick together until I do!
Good luck with your angel breeding tank, that will be really cool, and I know you'll post all kinds of amazing videos!
I hope I get that tank, too! *crosses fingers*
Sylver, I really like sand, too! None of my tanks will ever have gravel again. For me, it has nothing to do with the plants - mine grew just fine in gravel for the short time I had it. . . I just like sand better - I find it prettier to look at (depending on the sand) and easier to clean. Plus the wigglers and the rams like it :) They're doing great, so super cute, and seem as happy as can be. :D Sand doesn't have to be expensive, though - you can get the play sand from the hardware store for $3-$4 bucks a bag! The black sand that I have in my 55 is way more expensive, though - I just really like the look of it, so it's worth saving for!
