Thank you, Plummy! It DOES look much better on a tiny screen ;) No way your little Marine-biologist-in-training can spot all THOSE loaches ;) the little ones must look no bigger than 3 pixels across!

Lympie, you're too sweet, as always. I'm gonna send you my dentist bill! Do allow me to point out that my rams awesomeness has very little to do with me - that's all on them. I'm impressed by them, too! Anyway, you have Apistos! *drools* That's a thing of beauty (I hope!). And I'll always miss those Buffalo buffalo buffalo bu. . .

Hehe, OH YEA, once you get your new video camera send me your old one, cause it does NOT suck!
I think you have the magic touch, everyone's cichlids love beating each other up but yours!

That's just so cool how active your loaches are, can't believe they come up to the surface so often! Also, at around 3 minutes in, what's that really bushy plant? It looks like a crypt wendtii but I'm not entirely sure, it's gorgeous though. I can't get over how brilliant your tank is, it's really truly beautiful.

54 pages... I hope you don't mind that I skipped to the end. Your tank is beautiful - while I am not into plants, I can certainly appreciate them in other people's tanks. Great job!

JAYSEE!!! Is it even possible that I've never linked you to my thread?!! Thanks for the sweet compliment! I know, it's long - I babble entirely too much. Can't wait to get the 125 *ahem* so I can start a NEW thread ;)

Jen, thank you! Yes. . . my loaches are lunatics. They always have been. . . I think they forgot to give a copy of the manual on loach etiquette to my critters. They're ridiculous. When they're dangling from the top of the tank like that, they're actually foraging through the floating plants in search of leftovers that got trapped up there. The rams know this, and tend to hang around beneath them to catch anything that falls. Sometimes after meals I've caught as many as 8 of 'em up there at once, looking for all the world like party streamers. Cracks me up! Both loach types do it, and no, they're definitely not starving A couple of them (specific loaches) also enjoy getting all tangled up in the Watersprite - just chillin' out, reverse loach-style.

It's not BUSHY!!! *pouts* Yah, okay, it could probably stand a good pruning. I just can't bring myself to cut/separate it! You're right, it is a Cryptocoryne Wendtii - my most favorite plant of all! It was the first rooted plant I ever bought. I've had it for around a year now. . . I *think* it's supposed to be a red, even though it isn't. In person it's a really gorgeous olive color, *almost* brownish. . . love it! I'll be including it in my photo update, I tried to get some shots, but still have to clear out my computer, lol!

Lympie, it's a deal! You can have my lil' Flipshare, if it's still working by then, as soon as *I* get a new camera with video built-in. Might take a while, tho. *sigh*

LOL! The magic is in the fish, not me! You can actually see in the video, there's at least one place where C.Cat is letting Alice know that she's in the way - but he just shoos her off. They really are pretty sweet and tolerant of each-other. . .so far. They've only just started breeding, though. . . and as a result I've become very aware of just how small the 55g is! Crossing my fingers that things remain peaceful in there, and really looking forward to hooking C.Cat and Liz up with their own place. Can't wait to get actual free-swimming fry from those two!

Jes I just watched that last video you posted. I have to admit I have been slagging on reading your books Sorry! Anyways I don't see anything in your tank that needs to me trimmed! The tank looks awesome.

Are those poor Swords in the back ever going to recover from the melt??

Ohhh are you crazy?!?!? Your Water sprite looks much better then mine does!!!!

Haha, you could easily publish a novel about your journey of fishkeeping with all the writing, you know. :p

Thanks, John! The plants have finally gotten to the point of hostile takeover, and I love it! The light is too low to support stems, so I'm really happy with the growth I've gotten in there. I feel like it needs to be 'cleaned up' a bit, and bullied into more of a logical scape, but I'm leaving it as it is. I like it, the fish are happy as can be, and . . . more plants are always better, since I'm planning to set up a breeding tank for the rams, and hoping to get my dirt tank experiment going at some point in the nearish future - and I AM determined that this tank will be a 125 at some point, so more plants are always welcome!

Your watersprite is gorgeous. . . from your perspective. . . does mine seem to have thinner leaves than yours? I've been wondering about that. WS seems like a pretty delicate plant in my care - I lost quite a bit of mine while I was trying to figure out the surface agitation/floating plants/fish comfort balance with the filter. Now I *think* I have that under control, and I'm HOPING that I'll start to see more steady growth from it, but I dunno - your WS is amazing - I'm in awe of how well it's doing for you!

LOL! I'm working on picture updates on the plants, the swords being among them, so I'll get into those soon. . . There are two types of sword in this tank right now, actually. The Kleiner Bars are plugging along, but I doubt I'll see them at their full height and beauty again until I get my 125 and better lighting for them. Just happy to see a new leaf pop out every couple of weeks :)

Olympia. . . I totally COULD write a novel, yes. . . only. . .I doubt anyone would read it! Anyone who WOULD already HAS. And I thank you for that!
