Awww, thanks, dear! You make me happy! The thing with my video camera is that its a good little thing for what it's good at, but I can't focus it on anything that isn't across the room, and it can't pick up detail or color really well. I get frustrated because I wish you guys could see my tank like I do - I LOVE my tank, it's so gorgeous to me, and I put so much work into it and love those fish so much - I get frustrated cuz' I can't really show you what I see. . . if that makes sense. But you make a good point - I like your videos just fine, even though they aren't perfect - so you're right - it really doesn't matter. . . though it would be NICE to see those teensy tinsy red specks floating around in there and really see the adorableness of a baby fish - it is what it is, and it's better than nothing! As for shakiness, heh. Since my camera doesn't focus unless it's all the way over there, I just sit it on a table - no shakies unless I bump into the table. Which. . . I do from time to time

Ah, now that would be great, wouldn't it? To have others see it as you see it. Like me and my betta photos, he looks a very bright purple, real purple to my eyes, but when I take his photo or get him on video, he comes out visibly blue, even to me. I said what the heck?! Haha, but I also know what you mean otherwise, I was just thinking that about my baby fish videos the other day. I wish people could see it like I do, all those gorgeous babies floating around, perfectly formed with their own little markings that just don't show up on the camera! The videos just never look right to me with lighting or color either. Something always seems off. But then when others enjoy them anyways, that makes me very happy, even if they can't see what -I- see, they do see something that gets them going. =)

I hear ya. . . Tank photography is REALLY hard - and I have trouble getting the color balance right in my tank shots, too. But we can only do what we can - and I'm just happy that we can share pictures, and that there is a forum full of 'fish dorks' who like to join in the fun! :) *luffs Tank Dorks*

I just realized... it hasn't been *THAT* long since the last tank-shot update - posted 12/15 on page 31. I'm not going to bother updating again, cuz' it looks the same!!! Onto the next update. . . YAY!

lol You realize that for us...going more than a few hours without updates is darn near fatal, right? Especially with your tanks. xD

VERY pretty! I like 'em! I'm an all-around artist and crafty girl, but a true photographer at heart, always have been. I remember setting my guinea pigs up in front of a 'backdrop' made out of a blanket and taking 'wedding portraits' of them with my crappy 110. I was 7 years old, rofl. Still have those pics around somewhere, they turned out great! I'm sure there's a not-fish related photo thread around here somewhere. . . if not, we should make one!

That third picture is gorgeous, it looks like the sky is on fire!
Also I'm super jealous of those creeks, you couldn't keep me out of them! I bet they have some really interesting plants and fish :D

Also I really love that crypt spiralis, it looks beautiful and grassy and lovely. Do you use tabs on them or do they get along fine without?

Those photos taken of the lake, creeks and mountainy areas were all taken at the same place: Saint Mary's Glacier. All of the water is glacier melt, in the winter, everything freezes and becomes part of the glacier again. We were also a few miles high, heck of a walk up there, but sooo worth it. I fell in the water and regretted it, it was painful and I went numb in less than thirty seconds. lol I would love to go there again this summer. All the sunrises were taken here, there's only one good vantage point for it because of all the huge trees and houses, but said trees make for good shadows which a lot of people don't like. I love it. ^^;

Being Crypts, they ARE heavy root feeders, so they do need :) root tabs. I really love the kind of wild wispy look of them, and they really seem to be thriving in the lower light in the 55g tank - they're popping up all over the place! Makes me very happy!
