African Rift Lake Cichlid Series.

Anyone who hasnt seen it, this is an excellent series from National Geographic on the Rift Lake Cichlids of Africa.

It is a 6 part series. I will post part 1 and you can find the others.


10g Fry / Hospital / QT tank (as needed)

75g Saltwater Reef, Ocellaris Clownfish, Lyretail Antias (baby), Lemon damsel, Longtail Fairy Wrasse, purple dottyback, snails, crabs and a few LPS corals.

220g Still sitting empty (come on Lottery I need the numbers to come up!)

Thanks for the information, Taz. I will certainly look for it.

I would like to see the documentary from a few years ago called "Darwin's Nightmare" about the whole sordid inter-relationship between Nile Perch caught in Malawi and sold to rich Europeans in exchange for weapons to fuel on-going social-political strife in south central Africa with environmental havoc in the rift lakes as a sort of afterthought. Did you happen to catch that? I will probably have to go to Amazon or somewhere and try to buy a copy. . .

Taz. . . Library of Congress - YouTube style!!! I watched the first couple of the cichlid series already, and very much enjoyed them, thanks for bringing them to my attention! I'll be watching the Darwin's Nightmare, too - fascinating stuff!!! Thanks again!
