The re-homed pepper cory I have came with no fins, tail or otherwise. I wondered how the heck he swam to be honest and theya re all growing out nicely now. Soon enough he'll have that little cory "sail" fin again.

Fish heal quickly given the chance.

Jeff.

Betta Feeding (and biting) - YouTube

VIDEO <3

I should re-name her Alligator. Or Nipper. The last pellet I fed her you can really see where she tries to rip a chunk out of my thumb xD

At the end I zoomed up on my pygmy chain sword (I think? Idk that's what the LFS says it was) where it's sent off runners. So excited.

I was thinking about your cory when I saw the ripped fin and got worried. How long have you had him now?

And aren't you supposed to be pulling some gravel out of a certain tank soon? ;)

*wince* I dunno... I might be dropping the pellets in! She's really come around amazingly fast - I don't know, Lionheart suits her!

Three cheers for woobies!

I think about 3 weeks, maybe 4 now.

Yah... best laid plans and all. We had a major failure of some computer equipment which necessitated switching software for one of our 24hour applications.... major upheaval. Even though I get to stand back and say "I told you so" I still have to babysit everything. All nighters aren't my thing anymore... particularly when they aren't fun.

Jeff.

I tried that, but sometimes they would just fall right past her. I have to get her attention first, and sticking my fingers in gets it real quick xD

She changes colors a lot too. She goes from stripes to solid black with iridescent scales. I've heard of 'stress stripes', but she bounces back and forth seemingly at random, so I have no idea

Bummer :( I was really looking forward to that! Have you returned all the fish that were in there?

As it turned out, no. So there are still some fish in there at least. Believe me I'm disappointed as well.

Does the colour shifting follow any pattern, early day one, evening another for example?

I haven't really seen a correlation with the stripes. I've been tracking when she does it and it just seems random, but she does it less now.

So I made the decision to move the rasboras over to the 35 yesterday, since it had been 8 weeks and the tail of the one was showing good progress.
They're doing excellent, they immediately made themselves at home and today everyone's been spawning all over the place. It's weird seeing so much movement in the tank again!

Now to decide if I'm going to get more loaches

Video of the 35 with the new rasboras, and then a quick cameo of Lionheart.

And a surprise visitor! :D
