Finally got a decent amount of plants, not much diversity but i like em.
Should be in the order of left side, right side, then right side side and left side side.

That mask is creepy looking. I thought that looked like the Mask from the movie. It just stares at you. Like the aqua scape. I just went to Petco and they had neon tetras for $1 each. I'm not sure if all Petcos have the same sales. I bought 12 of them for my 30 gal. but lost 3 the first couple of days but the 9 remaining are doing good. I like the Harlequen Rasboras also. I think they are the Hardiest Tetras and they have that pretty orange glow with that black triangle. Did you ever think of putting moss rocks in your tank? Java Moss covered moss held together with a bath loafa netting and a plastic tie wrap on the bottom. Red Cherry Shrimps would also look great with the black sand. If the tank has been cycled and running for awhile you can add the Neon tetras and the Red cherry shrimps. Keep us posted on how the tank fills in with plants when they start growing more. Looks Good! Forget the Red cherry shrimps as I noticed you have a betta in your tank. They would end up as food and maybe the neon tetras. The harlequen are bigger so they may be ok with a betta.

I wish some place around here had some moss, all ive ever seen is a tiny patch tied to a rock at petco for like 10 bucks. Once I decide just how may rocks to put in there Ill probably order some, id like at least half the rocks covered with it.

I wanted to put some dario dario and sparkling gourami in there but my gf convinced my to get this betta and the catfish then I saw some emporer tetras at the other store that Ill probably go back and buy them all next week.

I traded someone on craigslist fish for java moss. I got a huge bag a gallon zip lock stuffed . I had so much I had to sell some at a fish club I belonged to. Maybe someone on this forum has alot and you can trade or buy it cheap since that stuff grows like a weed. I used it to cover some driftwood with the java fern and java moss and clear fishing line. Here is a picture.
