HOORAY for an update! You, sir, have been MIA for too long! You get me addicted to your tank log, then vanish! NOT FAIR!!!

Everything looks wonderful, it's amazing how quickly it's filling in - well, not THAT amazing, considering how much FERTS you're tossing in there. I guess with the higher lighting it's necessary - but the difference is clear. Did I miss it, or aren't you doing Co2 now, too? I remember you planning to, but am not clear on if you ever started with that?

“like a mad man on steroids” great line! I had no idea that you got your pimp pad back! That’s awesome, he belongs with you – isn’t the betta your first fish ever? Everything looks great, I can even see Gabe the ram starting to put some color back on. I’m so sad to hear about the poor little Tetra, but at least you got him out of the main tank and into QT – you really did all you could for him.

Maybe someday, when you’re all done with stocking, you can turn the 10g into a ‘real’ tank for little Lucas. . . I bet he’d like that, poor dude. I have 2 rams in QT, which will finally bring me to my optimum # of 6, though I'd be glad to rehome little Lucas if you need a good place for him. I really DO have to wonder. . . if you got 4 females, how everyone would do in the community? I'm a bit nervous about adding the 2 that are in QT right now, so I'll let you know how the 'noobs' do when they get that far!

Again, all of the tanks look beautiful, grow little plants, GROW!!!

Thanks for sending your 'extra' floaters my way, and for stopping by MY new tank log :) Always good to get a new point of view on things. . .

Now, lets try NOT to wait *quite* so long before the next update, please? I know you've been busy, but we gotta KNOW!

Well I really couldn't help it. With all the life changes it is hard to get free time to sit down and do stuff. Things are starting to settle now though so you should see more regular updates! :D

I am dosing C02. I am using Flourish Excel as my C02 method. i don't feel like injecting C02 yet and getting all crazy and stuff. The Excel, as you can see, works REALLY well hahaha.

Yeah the day after I got my car I drove down there to get it hahaha. My first fish was a betta, but not this one. It was Maximus who died in the 29 , this is Cornelius.

In the mornings, Gabe will be SUPER dark and red and everything, then when the lights come on he pales out. He also gets dark after he eats. Yeah the second I saw that I took him out. Now I have another tetra who has this red thing under his gills….which IS NOT good….but he acts fine. I’m considering taking him out to put in the QT as well.

I want Little Lucas to be happy...I just gotta wait and see what I'm gonna do. I know my options, just haven't decided lol.

Np Chesh, :) I love your tanks! Their beautiful!

FINALLY GOT TIME TO DO AN UPDATE MUHAHAHAAHH!!!

So I have TWO extra Swords if anyone wants them? $12 shipped and their yours.

I just did a water change today on all 4 tanks. The quarantine is empty and I want to get my 10 Kuhli Loaches to put in the 29.

That will make the 29 Gallon tank have the following:

1 Male Dwarf Gourami
18 Harlequin Rasboras
10 Kuhli Loaches
2 Otocinclus

I did a nice clean up on the 75 today. It is still cloudy but here is some of the changes. Basically what I did was cut the floating runners from the swords and plant them with new root tabs under them. This way they grow like crazy. I also removed as much of the floaters as possible.

Before Cleaning:

After Cleaning:

Here is the pic of the tank a while ago:

Here is a video of the tank before. You can really see the runners :D
Canadian Fish likes this.

As I have more time for myself, I'll have more time to sit and take pictures and enjoy your updates along with being able to do my own :D

ROFL! I still check in, but I haven't had any time to keep up on updates, either. . . life's been a whirlwind over here, too. All good, though :)

I know it needs a bit of cleaning in there but really, that tank is looking fantastic. I'm loving the vibrant growth you are getting, sure beats the hell out of my big tank. That said if you still have those swords by the time I have the spare change I'll hit you up, I'd love to try them out in my big tank.

Thanks Sang!

The swords need to have root tabs and high lighting in order to flourish, otherwise they wont really grow too well. Mine are finally get back into it.

I just got some new Otocinclus Catfish for my 29 instead of the Kulhi's because they weren't healthy and I already have two ottos. Kuhlis can wait.

So the Otocinclus' are going into the QT for a month and than into the 29.

:D
