if you add another gourami will they fight or be ok? i have heard mixed reviews about this. some say they need a friend, others say they will fight all the time.

Thanks willow. :) The gourami is about 2.5 inches long. I did some research on sexing and yes, I'm pretty sure she is female. That makes sense they would like floating plants.. she seems to like it behind the filter output at the top. I will get some hornwort plant to float on the top for cover.

crazy4fish, well, we had originally planned to get 2, but I think we're pretty much at the max bio-load right now (calculating full grown size of each fish). So I think we're going to stick with just 1.

Fancying the fish world!

hi
yes she's hiding,i would say.
the floating plants will help her feel better, also hopefully she
will feel more relaxed with time, mine hid for ages,
i've got 4,1 male and 3 females, well i hope they are females,i have to keep a very close eye on them because they are very young,
so it could turn out i have males,in which case they will have to
be returned to the shop, and i would swap them for others.
