| || | 5 cm if you're talking about Sphaerichthys osphromenoides. Sphaerichthys vaillanti is 6-7 cm. Both are best avoided as the former tends to die rather quickly especially if the pH is too high. The latter is just as delicate but not really delicate compared to the former. Unless you are prepared to keep those especially with a constant supply of live foods, you are better off with other species. Both are also not community fish and will do best in a species tank only with a few wild betta species, sparkling gouramis and licorice gouramis.
