can't beat how plants look,
i bet it looks even better now the water is clearer.

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

Thats for sure.

All but the last pic were taken today. The filtration system is pretty good (my personal favorite actually) and it cleared it up really quick. That last picture was taken an hour after it was set up. Moving all the plants into styrofoam and back into the tank, plus the tank in the back of the car really stirred things up a bit, lol.

Thank you, I will do that from now on, it was definitely annoying lol.

I am not planning on putting any fish in it at all actually. I have a very large piranha I thought about putting in the tank (dirty fish, but VERY planted tank friendly- thought it might work well) but the size of the fish would take away from the peacefulness of the tank imo.

If I did put any fish, there is a type of gold barb, not sure of the name of it- it is about 2.5", golden with black spots, I would like to school in the tank. I think they are very cool looking but not sure if a planted tank would suit them well.

The town I live in has notoriously bad neon and cardinals Ich wise, otherwise I would throw 8 or so in it.
