I actually got that at walmart for 10 bucks. the rock in the back right is from a friends already established tank so its in there for the cycling, and i may keep it in there.

hi
i too like the decoration in the middle,i looks great.
:)

when you set up a new tank, hide an extra
sponge or two behind some decor, that way you have
something seeded for you next filter.

i personally wouldnt add a RTS in a 10 because of aggresion issues and if i did it wouldnt be the first fish i add. adding this guy first may make adding anything else alittle more difficult.

would adding an RTS to my 20gal first be ok? or should i go for a couple of mollies? All I know for sure i want in my tank are a dalmation molly and a black molly due to request from family members thinking they look nice and want them in my tank. I myself want an RTS just because they look amazing. Beyond those 3 i'm not sure what else id like to put in aside from either ghost shrimp or cherry shrimp.

It should be fine in your 20 gallon. They are really hardy, too. Oh, a word of advice, MAKE SURE YOU DON'T HAVE ANY HOLES IN YOUR HOOD! my rts jumped out of his tank, and landed around4 feet away, I was gone at the time, and when I came back he was dead. :(

Ah wow, thats no good at all. I'm sorry to hear that Veganchick. The only concern I had is I know the RTS is territorial, so I was unsure if i were to get him first if he'd think the entire tank was his territory and then once i added whatever else later he'd nip at them everywhere they were. So i was thinking maybe get the RTS as my 3rd or 4th fish later on that way theres already some fish in there and maybe he'll be more prone to go find and stick to his own corner.

I got mine when I got my guppies, but I put them in the tank first, they all did fine till he killed himself!
