Sorry to say it, but you're going to have to ditch the idea of keeping angel fish in your tank - it's just not big enough for them. Kuhlie loaches would be a good bottom dweller - and they would appreciate the sand substrate, but if you're planning on getting some I would get a group of four or five.

the quality of the pic is a bit bad....everything looks plastic.
The U shape with lots of swimming room in the middle is good.
I'd fill it up more...especially so the heater and all are covered from view....i'm not a fan of tanks where u can see the technique.

I'd go for a couple of rams, a large group of tetras (10+) and maybe a few kuhli's. not more.

No angels for this tank...but keep them in mind when u start ure second and bigger tank (ahem)

like the othres said you will have to forget about putting angels in that tank. even if you take away the angels you would still have a few too many fish. try to narrow it down just a bit more. and platies will breed like crazy so be prepared either to let them be eaten or to have a place for them to grow.
