I like how you have two just sitting over top of the tank lol :D Btw I just ordered my lighting for the 75 so whenever you want to talk about the hood for the 29/20L It will be here within a week i think.
Aye. I love how all the green in the tank just pops out visually. This makes me so happy. I love it...and yes definitely Thift Stores FTW. Got to be a regular though and keep an eye out and be quick to grab the good stuff.

I'll have to see how funds are after my trip then I"ll talk to you about it.

Also I've got video up now of the tank:

I also have video of the growing Gourami nest that my naughty fish have been building by uprooting plants and arguing with me.

I love it, Fox! BOTH tanks look great! How does the betta feel about his new light? It really changes the entire feel of the tank. I'm in love with your gourami, I'm really glad that you decided to get them, they really add a lot of motion and activity to the top of the tank. . . and they SURE look happy in there :) Labrynth fish REALLY want to have babies for you - must be something in the water!

What are the chances of your bichir ever breeding? THAT would be amazing!

I don't know. I have not had the time to sit and observe his behavior yet. I'm sure he won't mind it though.

Yeah I"m happy I got them too though it still irks me a bit to keep finding my plants being redecorated. I don't know what the chances are to be honest. Maybe when the plants get a chance to grow out more they might try to breed but the female tends to just turn the male down any time he tries to put the moves on her. Then the female is ready the male just derps. Neither are too smart when it comes to reproduction I guess.

he derps... I hear men are funny about that kind of thing, I hope she's understanding ;)
Well, in THIS particular environment, that might be a good thing! Either way, *I* am enjoying the show!

Just an update with some recent video.

Queen really is coloring up much nicer now that she's being fed on the Silver-Sides once a week. I may up it to two times a week. The Senegalus have decided the like the silver-sides too and they are coloring up better as well.

I love this video...you really get a feel for her size and color.

One of the things I love to watch the Gourami's do is a game I call "Face ball". They will pick up pellets, spit it out, pick it up, and go higher and higher. Then they will steal pellets from each other and sometimes the pellets land on their face tip and they go "Wat" for a moment.

Lastly here is Blue-Gill still building massive nests. I've not got a plastic mesh ring that I tied some riccia down too. I am hoping to make a riccia ring-disc thing that I can later put in the big tank for the male Moonlight Gourami to use to anchor the bubble nest.

The tanks look great, Fox - I just LOVE getting a good look at Queen! She's not only coloring up, but she seems overall more comfortable in this new tank. I don't know if it's the setup, the tankmates, or the size - or all these combined, but YAY! Faceball is awesome - I had no idea that gourami were as silly as loaches ;) Speaking of loaches, I don't think I saw the littlest - is he still hanging in there? Bluegill's tank is growing in beautifully - thanks for the updates - it's been a while! :)

Yay! Faceball! Your gourami are just hilarious. Really makes me excited to get mine. (And I'm sure watching your bichir makes Olympia eager to get hers). I'm glad all of your tanks are flourishing. I really like your riccia. I'm trying to find some of it for myself! Thanks for the update!

It seems like Queen realizes how much she amazes everyone. She keeps her appearances few and far between so we gawk at her even more.

Sometimes they head butt each other when they accidently drop it as if to scold them for a fumble. I cannot wait to see you two get your new feesh. I want lots of pictures and video so I can see :3

You know, you don't live that far away from me if I recall. It only takes a little bit, tie it to a rock with string and give it a chance in good light and with supplemental nutrients (such as flourish) and it will take off.

If you cannot find any locally I can always snip off a piece, put it in a wet towel, and a bag and send it it to you. I'd just have to ask for a tiny bit for shipping.

It's funny how she doesn't seem to mind so much that the other fish butt in trying to take the food. As shy as she is towards people she's never shy around other fish. Speaking of loaches I think I should have named one of the Golden Zebra Loach Hercules. I caught him shoving his head under a rock, lifting the rock up, and moving it as he was digging around for any not eaten blackworms. It was so cute.

Also if you look at the first video in the very beginning, the smallest loach is there. He makes it a habit of following the two Golden Zebra Loach around as if they offer some protection against monsters. That said I'm happy to be able to update you all. I hope to have the 20 gallon up and running eventually because I'm excited to see plants fill something like that out and it would give Bluegill so much more space too.

Just like a Queen. Apparently she was out all the time while I was out of town. :C

Haha well that is one mystery solved! I have been noticing that the Algae Discs that I put down for the Loaches disappear far too quickly than what makes sense. Well now I know what is happening:

Queen is stealing them. :C Caught her in the act this time and if you big screen it you can see her drop it, then pick it up and run into her hide hole with it. Dunno if it's good or bad for her but I suppose it cannot hurt. I remember the Senegalus used to do the same thing but would try to break them into pieces. Poor Loaches though, they were having a blast munching on that until she decided to have it all to herself.

Also, MEGA NEST. Came home from class to a Mega Nest but this time I have good video of it.

I have no clue what Bluegill is doing there. Maybe he found a bit of food, or a lone blackworm.
