If you don't mind, what type of hyrdo do you have in the back right-hand corner... I got one from my LFS but they sold them as bamboo Tehe...

I've never had any problems with 'Impulse Buying'. They're just animals that I forgot I had planned to get.

Hi aussieJJDude, the plant was sold at my local as "blue hygro" I am fairly sure that it is Hygrophila Corymbosa Angustifolia. I've noticed that the petshops really don't have a clue when it comes to plants and they just kind of wing it. I'm only a newbie to planted aquariums and I find more often than not that I'm the one telling them what the plants are.

Last week I returned the guppies. Just as Oxen predicted one guppy turned on the other, and for some reason I didn't really connect with them and have kinda gone off them as a species although they are beautiful between fry and aggression and male:female ratio blah blah blah I just can't be bothered.

So instead I have ordered a school of 10 dwarf rasboras (Boraras Maculatus) that arrives in 3 days. SO FREAKING EXCITED!

Shame you didn't get on with the Guppies, i have them and harlequin rasbora, the guppies are more interesting in my humble opinion, but wouldn't get rid of the rasbora.

10 new Boraras maculatus.

It's a little hard to take a decent photo as they are so tiny.

More photos of the Boraras maculatus as well as some of my fat neons. (They are huge piggies, and I had to feed a little extra so the Boraras got their share. But I've got the feeding sorted now )

Thanks! It's my first propper tank, so I was a bit unsure what to do at the start. I'm studying vet nursing but you learn surprisingly little about fish.
