One male and one female Guppy? do you have anymore in the tank?
It was recommended to me to have 2-3 females for every male, and a group of at least 6 guppies. I used to have just 6 males but they kept fighting so now i have 2 males and 4 females and they seem to be peaceful.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
This is what I learnt doing a pre veterinary nurse course.

Guppies are generally a peaceful fish that does well in both smaller and larger groups but they prefer to be at least 2. Like all fish, you get the odd bully but that's down to the individual fish and most pet stores will allow you to return aggressive fish. Also i believe it is recommended to have all of one gender in smaller tanks to avoid becoming over run with fry, and males are preferred because females can carry the sperm for a long time.

That sounds about right, though in my personal experience they seemed to be happier when I had more in a tank. This could have just been my particular fish, I've only kept one group of guppies - but my males got nippy with each-other, and when I added more of them, things calmed down. If you have a mixed gender group, Oxen is right - you should have more females to males, because the males will harass the females for. . . um. Favors. ;)

Your Nons are looking very vibrant! I'm so happy that you were able to keep them safe through cycling - and PUPPIES! Awwwwww!!! What a sweetie! *snuggles*

I plan on eventually having 4 males. I have no tank space or extra tanks for fry. Although I have just purchased a 5 gal I have big plans for it that doesn't include a bizillion fry

So today I removed the corner plant by the filter that turned out to be Alternanthera bettzickiana (only semi-aquatic) and in its place is a cutting from one of the hygros from the other side and a small bunch of bacopa.
