New piece of wood covered in java moss. As well a bit of a shift around in the tank.

Any suggestions of what to do with the left over handful of java moss?

I also appear to have a baby Malaysian trumpet snail that has hitch hiked a ride on the java moss.

Very nice mossy wood! I love MTS. . . moss?! Stick it in a jar until you need it, or send it along to someone else who does! :)

I've kinda just shoved it in the corner of the tank for now, until i decide what to do with it.

I was thinking of buying a large jar or a small fish tank as a snail tank to move them into it with some sand and java moss once they started to over run the place. Does anyone know if this would work without a heater, filter etc?

I also think I've found a tiny pond snail as well as the Malaysian trumpet. Well it looks like a pond snail apart from the light Brown creamy color.

Depends on the type of rocks if they will even affect your water. Slate is fine it won't leech anything into the water. Calcareous rock, like limestone, dolomite, marble, lava, etc, that contains calcium/magnesium can effect the water.
