Tank looks great. I just upgraded from a 55g to a 120g myself. You will need a liquid fertilizer even with fish. There are 17 essential nutrients that plants need that fish waste will not provide. Many people around here use Seachem's Flourish Comprehensive, including myself. I use the amount specified on the bottle (2 capfuls for my tank) once per week, a pay after your partial water change. Another thing I noticed, your sword plants need to be lifted out of the gravel a bit. You don't want the crown (where all the stems meet at the bottom) to be buried in the gravel, only the roots. Otherwise, the plant can eventually rot.
no wonder one of the leaves were turning color. i'm on it and thanks i'll try to get seachems they don't have it at the lfs nearby.gotta drop by town area to see whether they have them =)
A couple brown leaves on new plants is fairly normal. The stress of moving from one tank to another can be tough on some plants. Swords usually tolerate this a bit better, but it isn't a worry. However, pull the sword out of the gravel a bit and pickup the fertilizer as soon as you can. I know even PetSmart sells it. Seachem's makes several similiar products. You want the Flourish Comprehensive, not the Excel. Remember to use the fertilizer the day after your pwc. Depending on the water conditioner you use, the water conditioner can actually detoxify the minerals and metals in the fertilizer that the plants need.
i'll keep that in mind the water conditioner i use is nutrafin aqua plus and yes it neutralizes heavy metals but it's also made up of pure herbal extract =)
thanks =) i did take me 10 years and a lot of money to have this tank if thats any conselation to you. i you have a dream and keep it.you'll own a nicer one then mine one day =)
Kitten_Penang I think we could all stand to see more pictures, if you are willing to share them. Some of us can only dream about aquariums like you have.

thank you =) i left space in between plants to give them space to grow and let the light reach the bottom leaves to keep them healthy. got the fertalizer today but they don't have seachem here =(
i guess JBL will have to do.;-)
ok so heres some new pics.the plants are growing and sprouting nicely.some had babies and some grew extended roots out of the main branches ^.^ and they 4 new tank mates i added.
this is gettin taller as it does the top becomes redish in color.
i don't know what name this plant is but it's pretty cool.the babbies are rooted on top the leaves of the parent plant and once large enough they float in the tank till they reach another area and grow roots there =)
