I got pictures of my cories today. They just basially hide all day because they are very skitish of people. Corie are the cutest fish in the world. <3

And heres the whole 10 gallon as a whole.

Also, It has been a loooong ime sinceI did a update on my tanks. I no longer have my bettas or platies because they all died for different reasons. Now I have is the cories left.. I wanted the 10 gallon to convert to a cory tank anyway because I feel like Cories don't get much love when it comes to species tanks. So here's a video. :D

Looks good right now! If you want to make a cory specific tank, sand would be better for them to dig through.
They may still be adjusting. How many do you have right now? Mine took a few months to get used to being in their tank, actually.

I know several people that keep Cory species tanks; the problem is that you will have so much open water above unfilled. If the tank is large enough, I put neon tetras with my Cories as the Neons are not avid egg eaters. When you put ~9 together Neons together, you get a nice looking school of fish as long as there is open water.

Olympia is getting at the fact that Cories like to be in a group as this will make them more comfortable and less timid. I suggest 5 or 6 (I have seen 4 work) and sometimes mixed species totaling 6 works but it depends on the species selected. Any major disturbance to a tank can cause the Cories to revert back to being skittish taking weeks to recover.

I think it's because they are in too small of a school and too small of a tank. I don't think an abundance of open water in a 10 gallon is the problem.

For some reason, my cories much prefer the tank lights off than on, because whenever I feed them, they will be out and about..

Healthy Cories should be scared of you. If you move near the tank they will hide. Try darkening the room and leaving the tank light on. If the room is dark enough, the Cories will not be able to see you sitting in front of the tank as long as you are relatively still. I do this when I feed my Cories so that I can observe them.

The cories were very active today after I gave them blood worms. All day they were exploring around the tank and of course hide when I came too close. lol They are so cute. Lately I haven't been good in keeping up with feeding schedule and they were mostly getting pellets. Now I'm going to g back to feeding schedule
