I'm amazed my camera was able to pick up those tiny little guys, too! I want to feed them, wait for an hour, and then do another video. Sometimes it takes those derps a little while to find the food. Videos are fun!

I'm not too sure what caused my stuffyness. It could be seasonal allergies. Or it could be kissing a boyfriend with a cold. What was I to do? It was our anniversary!

lol, videos ARE fun! I like hearing your voice, even when it's stuffy! That's a conundrum, for sure. Nothing TO be done for that one - share the love, share the germs, till death do us part ^_^ All's fair in love, neh?

Definitely looking forward to the next video of your lil' derpies! >.<

I'm exhausted, but there have been some major changes in the shrimp tank. I'll post pictures tomorrow when the water isn't as cloudy.

As promised, pictures of the new shrimp tank. It used to be on the bottom of my double-tiered stand, but now it sits proudly at the top.

A lot of those stems went to Bekah for her 29. I added the last piece of driftwood I had floating around, and cleaned up a lot of the moss that was littering the ground. I didn't switch out the substrate like I thought I would because I couldn't catch those shrimp. Grr.

The colony is pretty strong now. Still haven't needed to cull anything, but I have a feeling I will in a couple of months. I added the reddest shrimp from my red cherry colony. That will probably result in a few culls, but it will strengthen the colony. Those red cherries have bred like crazy for me.

Thanks! I attribute it to cleaning the glass right before the photo shoot. You never know just how much algae builds up until you try to take a picture!!

Thanks, Jes! I attribute it to a tripod. I never though I'd be using it as much as I do until I started photographing my fish tanks.

This tank has grown and changed quite a bit. But with every change I figure out what I will do better for my next tank. I'm going to do mostly moss for plants and getting rid of that eco complete. I just like sand too much, man.

I've never used Eco Complete, but I can say that I've never looked back since switching to sand. . .

I completely agree!
I feel the same way about my tanks - even the QT tanks. I love the constant evolution that happens as we learn what's best for our animals and our setups . . . journals like yours are fantastic for the same reason. So much to learn from the experiences of others. Never stop posting! *luffsIzzyThreads*
