Who wants to play a game, "Identify V1ad's fish"?

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to the fish keeping hobby, but I'm looking to start, I have some fishes alredy, but I'm not sure what those are, please help me identify my fishes.

I know 1 is gurrami, what about the rest? I have one big guy you can see his tail sticking out of a tube, but he's abit unsocial and doesn't want to come out and play, I'll photograph him when he comes out, probably tonight.

The largest fish in the pic you posted is a Puntius denisoni, aka as: denison barb, red-line torpedo barb, roseline barb, roseline shark, bleeding eye barb. I also see a rainbow fish (directly bhind the Puntius denisoni) in that pic but I don't see a gourami. I don't know what species the tetras are in the pic, and I also see another type of barb in that pic that I'm not familliar with but it looks like a Cherry Barb. What size is your tank??

Thanks, I'm glad to be a part of this community.This forum looked very friendly and informative, I got a reply on my 1st post 6min after, how quick is that?

I just bough this tank and looking to get ride of the gravel and make it on to a "Amazon river" type of aquarium. The tank is about 72-75 litres big and it also has 1 Clown Loach (5cm),and a pleco(10cm) not seen in a picture and a big catfish about 15cm.

The pump/filter makes unbelievable loud crackling/vibrating noise, I guess because it used to be a marine back in a days?

Is 72 liters approx. 19 gls?? I don't want to be the one to say that the fish you have (some of them, anyway) aren't going to work long term in a tank that small. I keep a school of Denisons and after two years they are 6" long and use the entire length of their 5' long tank for swimming. Denisons are a schooling fish and need their own kind to truly thrive. Clown loaches prefer to be in a group (no less than 5, IMHO) and they also grow quite large. I wonder what type of pleco? The Common Pleco can reach 18". Can you get a pic of your catfish? I love catfish and would like to know what kind you have!

Not sure about your noisy pump/filter. Do you know what brand/make/model it is??

Tonight, after feeding the catfish will come out, so I will photograph him/her for you.So keep following this thread. He is a beast as for the pump, I will open it as it is in enclosure.

As I said I am thinking of redesigning the tank, so I was thinking of buying 3 more loaches, adding corys (my bronze plecos are by fare the most interesting fish I have) and lleaving the Cherry Barb and 3 tetras in there?

The pinkish red one IS a Cherry Barb, looks identical to mine! :)

Welcome to the forum! This is a great place.

Cory's are awesome. They are my favorite freshwater fish besides my knifefish! They're always so busy.

I don't know much about loaches or denisons, but the pleco will definitely outgrow that tank...personally I think my snails are doing a great job of algae eating, and aren't as messy as a pleco.
