Update on my 28gal.. still a work in progress

I've got a 28gal Bowfront tank that I have been tweaking lately in probably every way possible. It all started when my vals started dying off because of my soft acidic water. Just wanted to see if anyone has any suggestions..

Currently, the critters in the tank consist of: 1 dwarf gourami, 5 false julii corys (not sure of their exact species..), 7 harlequin rasboras (3 of them the black color variety), 11 rummynose tetras, 1 assassin snail, 3 nerite snails, 1 amano shrimp (will add a few more if my gourami leaves it alone!), ...and.. a bazillion MTS.

Plants I am experimenting with a bit.. floating, I've got some red root floaters and some frog bit which I just added a couple days ago. I have one anubias nana, some java moss attached to rocks which os slowly growing in, one red lotus or lily of some variety.. can anyone tell me? And in the background there is Ludwigia repens x arcuata and I'm testing out some Alternanthera reineckii "cardinalis" as well.. not sure it'll do well though.

I do plan on planting some ludwigia red in the bare back spot in the middle right. I am also getting some crypt willisii that I will be planting in front of it by the anubias. The bulb that I got had two lily plants growing on it and one came off during transport.. it has a number of leaves and some roots already so I'm hoping it'll be fine. I was thinking of maybe moving it to the front of the tank somewhere in that sand spot but I don't know if that'd look good or not...

Any suggestions on anything? The water looks a little cloudy cause I've been moving things around today.

Can't wait to see when your java fills in, maybe try to find some water sprite and dwarf water lettuce? I really like them in my tank

I like floating plants that stay on the top more.. so I don't really want water sprite. I tried it before but it just gets so big. If the red root floaters don't work out.. which is totally possible because my lights aren't very high, I'll probably get some dwarf water lettuce so I've got some roots hanging down. I'm hoping I can have red roots instead of green
though. ;)

I can't wait for the java to fill in either.. it's growing so slow! But it is green and growing so I will just let it be.
