I love the flagtail catfish! I've never seen one before, but now I've gotta get one. How big of a tank do they need? The gouramis are beautiful. I've been wanting some for ever, but that means another tank... and my mom is a bit opposed to more fish in my room. I'll have to convince her that my happiness depends on nothing but a new tank. XD

James: Thanks. Various websites say a 30 gallon minimum for the flagtail. I got mine at a lfs 30 minutes away from where I live, the only place I've ever seen them. I'm planning on getting at least one more, as they like to be in groups.

How do you find they get on together? Apparently they're very difficult to sex, so getting a pair could be a problem for me.

Thanks Falina. It seems they get along fine, and quite often they're side by side. I was thinking about that problem, and I figured it there was ever any aggression I could move one to my 10 gallon. Hopefully it won't be an issue. :)
