Here is 1 more updated pic I just took with the water all cleared up.
The plants seem to be doing very well and you can tell have already grown overnight.
My sword however had 1 dead leaf this morning (I trimmed it off) and it seems to be getting a little brown on some of the leaves.
Should I be worried about this?

When I first got my swords, all of the leaves died, and new ones grew to replace them. I read that most aquatic plants were grown out of water by the producer, so when you put them in your aquarium, they have to convert themselves over to aquatic conditions, meaning new leaves.

Looking good it will really look good when the plants grow in. May I suggest a floating plant for the top? It will help the fish feel safer.

I just did some test on my water parameters and I got

0.25 Ammonia (due to tap water)
5.00 Nitrate
8.2 pH

I didn't bother testing Nitrites because they are always at 0

I am assuming that the plants are using some of the nitrate since its so low and I have gotten no algea yet which is a good thing, I really hope it can stay that way!

My pH is extremely high tho and to my understanding neon tetras like lower pH waters. I have 2 pieces of driftwood in the tank already but it seems like they did nothing for the pH...

What are my best options here to lower the pH?

Here is a little update on the tank!

Its doing extremely well I have gotten no algae at all and the plants are all very green. The sword is having a little bit of trouble but I think I just need to buy those root tablets which I never got around to doing.
