Hi all,
here are a couple of pics of my first tank (10g).It has only just finished cycling and more BW and plants we be added and re-arranged as it builds up to how i want it.I already have some more BW waiting to be added when it has finished soaking and im eyeing up some short plants to go at the front of the tank.

Great job! Looks great. For short plants for the foreground, I really like narrow leaf Chain Sword. It will build runners to so it will eventually fill in your front quite nicely. Word of advice. You only need 1 pot that you can divide into a few plants. They grow runners quickly

Thanks for the replies all.As it has only just finished cycling i have put 3 zebra danios in,they have been in a week and water conditions seem fine,i was going to leave it 2 weeks before adding more fish but one of the larger danios seems to bully the 2 smaller ones so I may add 2 or 3 more this weekend to see if this calms him down.
As for other fish,i'll leave it a couple or weeks or so before i add more,so i dont overload the bio-load.Im undecided on what species/quantities yet as im still looking at different fish stockings using the tank calculator to see the various options.

yes the cannon is one of 3 i get to play with on the odd weekend in the uk (i helped make the one in my avatar 2 years ago) :)
