Here's the picture Diary for the 45g (hassle free)

  • Set up Dec 6th
  • Filling in Jan 8
  • Latest pic March 9th
Back wall is now nicely filled out needs weekly trimming and the Lotus is coming along well. Again time line here start to 'finish' 3 month.

Should I add the info I only use liquid ferts in the 55g and non of the other set ups? (which i'll stop there too because the Vallis in the 55g is getting wayyy outta hand there lol)

Actually I think people would like that and find it informative. It's a huge shocker to know you don't use liquid fert and still get that incredible growth!

@Lisa
Well *looking at my 10g hairgrass* it might grow even faster with ferts but hey I like my tanks that way - Less is better as the light situation in the 55 has proven and why bother with the mess if there's no signs of stopped growths or yellowing/ pin holes etc

@Austin Yes that is correct I actually started out last year in that tank with a handful lil stems of that spaced out along the back wall only and now you see I gotta trim at least 1x week so that light still has a chance to come in the tank. Soon I'll have to start taking new growth outta there cause what lil gravel space is left now I'd like to keep. Once I exchaned the lights for lower lights on that tank the Rotala really took of


As I keep on saying its all about the right Balance
