he was like this for about 2-3 weeks after i brought him back from the store. since then he has colored up nicely and is jet black

a couple more random shots

just noticed the redness on the base of her fin this morning....not sure what to make of it as shes acting like normal and my parameters are well within their limits. I'm hoping it is just some sort of injury that she may have gotten while scrambling for food but Ill have to keep an eye on her as well as the others to make sure their isn't some sort of parasite floating around in their

and just to update the tanks inhabitants. My balas have found a new home in a much larger tank of another local fish keeper. And ive added a couple more rosy's and another pictus cat

bump it up...ive switched things around a lot. Ive moved the cichlids from the 30g into the 55g and the rosy barbs into the 30g. Im relizing now i should have just started with these damn cichlids, they are to much fun
some new pix as well
