Nice, is that a 55 gallon?

Yes it is. I already know that i am over stocked. All My stock is in my signature. A friend came by my house and dropped off 4 black skirts, 6 red eye tetras, 3 rasbora's, and 1 big pleco. Either they go in my tank or they get flushed. I have increased my water changed to 30-50% water change depending on water parameters. Also hooked up a spare 10 gallon filter also.

Is the rasbora you are referring to the orange fish with a black dot? I believe it's a tetra. Hyphessobrycon serpae (Hyphessobrycon eques)

Huh. I will have to look into that link I'm not sure I just assumed they were rasbora's. There really peaceful cool fish dont ever attack any other fish. I like them :D

Correct, Dasmall. I had them before. Vicious fin nippers they are.

I just got word from my lfs that their customer suffered heavy losses after his serpaes attacked the cardinal tetras which are very expensive here.

Hmmm the owner who had them before had them in with these black skirts and red eye tetra's before and were peaceful community fish. i havnt noticed any nipping from them...

They should be fine with the serpaes, Nick. Those tetras can handle the serpaes but cardinals can't. As your tank is big, you should be fine. Just keep a close eye on serpaes. I had them before and they shredded my angelfish's fins.

I still avoid the temptation to buy serpaes. They are so tempting but my experience has me avoiding them.
