lol This is me that we're talking about though. My crypts alternate between fast growth and then melting so I don't get anywhere really with them. The C. pontederiifolia each had a couple melted leaves when I opened them tonight. Could be my fault for waiting. Hopefully won't do much more than that, but again this is me the snail/crypt killer.

After what my pontederiifolia has gone through and not melted I don't think its possible for it to. I planted this plant under a HOB filter and every day it would get sucked up till I moved it a lil and put a sponge on the intake and the thing still never melted. So I think yours will be fine!

The tank will be done tomorrow. Well not done, but set up. I'm still waiting for some plants to be shipped. Plants I ordered almost a couple weeks ago. What is it with this tank and things taking forever to ship? Anyway I plan on a massive book with lots of rambling and an equal number of bad pictures.

The C. pontederiifolia hasn't melted any more. You were right boredomb! The one tip was melting when I planted it, but it has stopped at that point. The rest of the leaf is still that bright light green color despite the tip being gone. I hope that continues to be the case.

Now for a bit of a surprise. Chesherca went and picked up the last of the Pangio cuneovirgata for me! They are currently in her loving care, but she took some pictures. You can tell they are her pictures, because they are vastly better than anything I could manage. I can't say how excited I am for these guys and how thank for I am to Jes for helping!

Heehee... I just got all confused when I saw my pictures on your thread. *giggle*
Ug... just look at how DISGUSTING that bag is. There was so much crap in the water... I really hope I can get them through QT and shipped to you safely *ish nervous*

HOORAY for C. pontederiifolia! Such a pretty plant, glad it's doing well. I hope it proves you wrong about crypts and their hatred for you. If so, we'll have to get a fresh batch MTS over for you finally put your odd 'jinx' to rest ;)

Very excited that you're finally getting your elbows wet and setting up that tank *GRINS* Can't wait to see it! Have fun!

They'll be fine HERE, provided they were healthy-ish to begin with - the water from the shop was filthy and tested full of toxins when I brought them home, but they seem to be settling in pretty well. It's the shipping part I'm worried about! BWG lives closeish, so hopefully it'll be an easy trip for the babies - but I've never shipped fish before. O.O For now, they're getting some much-needed R&R in QT while they de-stress and fatten up from that horrid fish shop - and the weather warms a bit.

Now. . . is their tank set up yet??! ;)

That would be a big fat negative to if it is set up yet. Working on it. 7 of 8 Boraras caught and acclimating to their temporary home. 1 remains at large and is considered an extreme butthead.

It was easy to start. They were unsuspecting, I was a machine. A few times I managed to net two at. I was in the zone, a kung fu master. The catcher of half inch fish. Butthead slapped me down hard and showed me my place. I gave up after 20 minutes of trying to catch him/her alone. I'm letting him/her think it is over and calm down. OK that and I need a chance to not be bent over that far for a little. Oh and just think I have to move these guys back eventually.

Oh wow... And I thought catching loaches was hard. I can't imagine catching half inch fish! One of the tricks that was given to me was use food to lure them out. Keep at it, Cory!
