So I bought a new house and for a house warming gift i got a 55g tank! I havent bought a stand for it yet and it wont be set up for another month or 2.

So... I consolidated my two 29g in order to save room and time. I took about 20 tetra back to the LFS in order to make room. (so sad!) I just couldn't justify moving and setting up 2 tanks for a month.

Anyways, Heres what my tank looks like now.. Keep in mind it has the DW from TWO tanks in it.. a lot with a lot of plants.


I was planning on floating the plants while the water settled so I could see what i was doing. Same with the DW.. i just kinda chunked it in there so I could get my fish back in the water. BUT, I ended up liking the way it turned out. I just planted the rooted plants and left everything else floating for now.

Also, a few pics of my male Apistogramma cacatuoides.

Sorry for the bad pictures, my camera stopped working this week. :( Also, keep in mind this is temporary!!

I like that. But then I like natural "thrown-together" aquascapes because they...well, look natural.

Youmight want to move the centre wood a bit to get it off-centre, but aside from that, I think this is quite a lovely tank. And ideal for Apistogramma, you really could not be closer.

btw, that front piece is actually 2 pieces of wood. There isnt a whole lot of space left in the tank for moving things though. Hopefully I'll get my new 55 set up here shortly!
