Here are some pictures of my current setup! But first a little information.

It has been running since October 11th, and is now inhabited by 13 fish and 1 shrimp. Inside the tank are:

-3 Zebra Danis
-3 Blue Danios
-4 Tiger Barbs
-1 Blackfin Cory
-1 Bristlenose Pleco
-1 Bolivian Ram
-1 Bamboo Shrimp





I have two large peices of nice driftwood ready to go into the center of the tank. Then I will continue to fill out the center with plants around the driftwood!

I have a little concern over the size of the gravel. Cories have such sensitive barbels and they are constantly rooting in the substrate. Then again, I'm always overly paranoid about "possible" concerns.

All in all, love your tank!! Wish I knew how to put together such great videos as you so obviously do...

Hmm, so you would suggest a smaller size gravel for the corries?

I've been curious about that for a while now, but once I started cycling this tank I didn't want to remove my already established gravel... I suppose the bio-wheel filter loaded with some of the old gravel should help while switching?

I also started out with gravel but wanted sand as my loaches also have sensitive and delicate snouts. I gathered up a bunch of the gravel and put it into the cut off "feet" of nylon hose. I let those nylon hose "balls" sit in the tank for a few weeks until I was sure the water parameters I was testing for were "right on" and stayed "right on" for about ten days. I don't think I'd put gravel in a bio-wheel.

Once again, I have to tell you how much I enjoyed your video!

My filter has two baskets in the back infront of two filter cartriged to hold other filter media. I used some established aquarium gravel from the pet store int there to help cycle my tank.

No problem at all! After reading your reply I thought I should clearify. I just got a image in my head of someone trying to put little pebbles ontop of the turning biowheel and wondering why they kept falling off. hahah
