Why do plecos get numbered?-(L200)
Y dont you call them by there scientific name-or are they artifitialy bred?

Because many of them have not been scientifically described, so DATZ issues numbers for ident, so there's more to go on then common names which rarely are the same type pleco twice. Aqualog also uses a number system for plecs, but the DATZ #'s are usually used more.

I just counted 9 pics of a Xingu Scarlet. As I stated the little one has taken residence in a crevice and never leaves that spot.
