The snails are a funny thing. All of them came from the plants. The first snails that I saw are like the one in the first picture on the pennywort. They are dark brown, kind of football shaped, and one end comes to a point. The others showed up later. Their shell is rounded with the curl look in the center and the shell is clear. As the clear shelled ones get bigger they develop small dashes, like an Amano shrimp has. There's one in there that is real big. I'm not sure what they are but I think they are some sort of mystery snail. If they get too big, like Apple Snail big, I'll get rid of them. I don't want huge, plant uprooting snails. But they do a good job in the tank.
