The Pristella Tetras are a tiny bit bigger. 1/4 inch I think. I may get them too. I like the color at the base of the fins on them. But these Silver tips are frickin' awesome. They're my buds. I can practically scoop them with my hand, they don't care.

Glowlight and Lemon tetras are often over looked fishes that look very nice over dark substrate and not too bright of light. The photos of these fish and their appearance in fish store tanks don't do them justice. Same for bleeding heart tetras but they get a little larger at around two, to two and a half inches as adults.

I'm not sure what to think about the plants. The pics aren't real great but the first is a new off shoot of one of the Italian leopard Vals. One leaf is turning brown and the other 2 are starting at the tips.

The second is the vals. The tips keep browning and the brown works its way downward. Not sure what I need to do here. Any suggestions?
I have the lighting set for about 6 1/2 hrs. There's 2 bulbs 65w each places end to end to make one 4 foot long light. Power compact 6700k bulbs. Could it be the light? Too much? I see some small holes in the banana plants leaves as well. I know that's potassium deficiency. Not sure if i have the deficiency or it's just the plants for whatever reason.

Man, I hate to not use that light. I paid more for it at the lfs compared to ordering it online. but it took me to the plants being on their way to decide on lighting. I suppose I could get T8 fixture and use this light later. Like on a sw tank just add blue actinic bulbs somewhere lol

Got a few pics of one of the males. He is my favorite. He has a swim pattern that he repeats. He cruises the tank as if to keep an eye on everyone and every thing. He goes behind the dw, behind the vals comes to the front corner then angles back between the dw and vals, around behind the dw again and out to the center of the tank. Stops, rinse, repeat. He's a funny dude. I think I'll call him '8 ball'.

"8 Ball", I like it! On your lights, I have the same lights (and plants) only I run mine 12 hours on, 12 hours off. Is it possible the plants aren't getting enough light, rather than too little??

The vals were being grown here under a shop light. The vals do the same thing when we first get them. They come to us being grown under the sun and then do some minor melting exactly as shown in your pics. This is what we call shedding of the sun leaves and replacing with the shade leaves. The vals are doing the opposite in your tank due to the power compact lighting you are using. Just let them do their thing and they will be fine. One thing that does them well is to trim the dead leaves keeping them from blocking light to the newer leaves.

Thanks Dan. I've trimmed them a couple times already. I need to get in there again lol. I'll do a good hacking this time and get it all. I try not to poke around in there too much. The fish like it though. My hand is their play toy

The fist two are looking straight down on top of the individual plants.
The first is the Anubius Coffeefolia
Second in the Bacopa Monieri

The second pic down on the left and the last two in the right column is 8-ball. He's the boss of the tank I believe.

Looking great, Eric! I love the Bacopa Monieri. It's got a very nice tone of green to it.
