The pink stuff is food...I had just fed since they hadn't eaten yet today. I have about 15 plants on their way. I ordered from Sweet Aquatics the other day. Tell me what you think!

I certainly wouldn't call your previous set up hideous, it was a nice tank. But this tank is...sweet! Your cories are going to be so much happier now. I really like your "river" of pebbles, it's a nice contrast. The only thing I'd add to the tank (other than the new plants that are on their way to you) would be a background. Basic black always look best, IMHO. Nice job, your tank looks great!

That's what I'm doing tonight! Getting some sort of paper at Target, be it construction or something else. I'm so excited for the plants! I got some carpet forming plants on the way...it'll really help "fill out" the tank.

Had you considered adding a black background to the tank (Construction paper, window tint)?

That's it! Window Tint! I was trying so hard to remember what it was while I was at target today. I ended up getting me some poster board and I like it a lot! I love my cories sooo much, I'm almost starting to think I got room for more, but I'm not sure. I keep up with water changes and I keep it all clean, but I'm just worried that it truly will over stock my tank with the puffers. If anything I'll get 2 more bronze cories. What do you think? I have 14 bottom dwellers and only two top/middle dwellers...idk, I'm hesitant.

Like your tank very much. Looks as though Java Fern is planted in back left corner. If so, I might consider attaching it to rock with thread or fishing line. It has never grown well for me when planted in substrate. Might also consider monthly root tabs especially for large sword plant,they are heavy root feeders and in new substrate,there may not yet be enough mulm accumulated to get the plants off to a good start.
Again ,Good job! Corys will love the sand.

Looks Sweet! Nice Pictures thanks for posting them. I like how you put the pebbles like a stream. You might have to change out the paper poster board as if it gets wet it will get ruined. I have black contact paper behind my tanks, some petstores sell a backgrounds that are blue on one side and black on the other side. I think I saw this at Petc0. It was $1.99 ft. plastic coated to wipe off easy. Don't you want to change all your other tanks to sand also? That's what I did after I added pool filter sand to my 55 gal. tank . I switched out all my smaller tanks to blk. sand. Love the look of sand and the corys love it better then gravel.
