Its been five days since I first posted "eggs hatched" with pictures of my Convict fry. Today about 3:00, thay started swimming on their own. Now over half are free swimming and out of the clay pot and exploring their new world. I did my best to capture them in these pictures, but they are transparent and they blend right in with the exposed glass bottom. If you look in front of the clay pot in the open space there was about 10 fry swimming around. They are about as long as a pencil eraser.
I sat there and waited for an hour until the first ones ventured out of their clay pot. ---------finally my work has paid of again-------

Here you can see them starting to leave and swim around.

The group in the back are still trying to get their bearings.

They first swim up to the top of the pot, then go back down and then strait out.I've watched them, Its quite interesting.

This was after momma grabbed up a mouth full and spit them back into the pot, so when I snapped this picture, half where already taken outta frame.

Its a little fuzzy, but if you look under momma, there are fry swimming around. Now,when I get close to the tank, like to take a picture, She quickly sucks them up and spittes them back in the pot.

:D
I will continue to keep the forum posted on their development . I really enjoy raising and watching fry grow and for me, watching them is a great stress reliever after a long day of work.It never gets old or boring.
