Plants are looking good. The Ludwigia has really started growing. I bet it has a decent root system now! :D yay!

Maybe once it gets some serious growth you can clip it and move the clippings to the bigger tank! :D

I like the floating Wisteria, its starting to bend and release new roots! It's awesome. Looking very good. Have you considered clipping one of the wisterias that is floating or both and plating part of it. That way you have more plants, more on the ground and it will grow in four places instead of 2.

I am really liking where you are taking these tanks. The new light in the 75 looks awesome btw, you can see the color difference.

Yeah, it's amazing how well it is all doing. I'll have to wait till I have a sufficiently large stalk. I cannot really tack any small plants down easily in my tank because the loaches keep digging them up. Now my river-rocks are getting used as anchors to try to keep these things down.

Currently I'm in contact with a person who is looking to sell a 150 gallon aquarium. It's 6 feet long, 18 inches wide, 3 inches tall(somehow I have a feeling she's off somewhere but i'll find out when I get to see it). It comes with a four foot light that has duel bulbs in it and a filter (not sure what kind going to find out)

After talking with her a bit (texting) the person showed interest in my 75 gallon. She's open to a swap where I pay her a bit of cash and give her the 75 gallon. I want to actually inspect the tank first but if all things pans out I'll do this as an upgrade.

I meant planting sorry.

What you could do then is trim the top of the Ludwigia and plant the trimmings back in the 5 gallon betta. Take the established Ludwigia and plant that in the 75 or new 150 depending on how that works and you will have the roots being able to support it. If you want you could even take small rocks to help keep the plant in place until it gets really grown.

You can do the same for the Wisteria. Take the one that is planted and put that in the 75/150 and then put the cut part of the floating one in the sand of the 5 :D

Er I screwed up. Um..It's 23 inches high, 6 feet long and 18 inches wide. I went out today to see the tank, the filter and the light. I've worked out a trade. So it's a go. I hope to be able to work it out to pick the tank up Sun, get it here and set up and then clean the existing tank and then deliver it to the person.

At the size the Ludwigia is at I just don't trust my mischief making little terrors. I will wait to do any moving around of plants till I get the new tank set up.

This is another update. So far the news is good. I have a person who has a large vehicle we will use to pick up the tank, as well as to transport my tank to the other person's home. I've got a few friends who will be helping me on both ends of set up and moving.

So far my game plan is to get out there and hand the lady what money I owe her, pick the tank up and set it up here. While I am setting it up the existing tank will be cleaned up to be ready to go to it's new home.

Once everything is good we will load the tank and all I am giving to the lady and dropping it off at her place (and we will help her set up). This is scheduled to happen Sunday. Once all settles I will update you all on everything. I will probably start a new thread titled 150 Gallon Bichir Tank.

So now I'm just going through in my mind the most stressfree way to do the entire move. I am going to go out and get one of those plastic shovels you see sold for kids to use at beaches for playing in sand. I will reuse as much of the sand as I can scoop up. I will probably spend a good portion of Friday taking what's left of my bag of sand rinsing that and having it ready.

I will probably then drain the water to half in my existing tank, and put the animals into temporary holding buckets. The idea is to get them into the bucket and when the big tank is ready to then just pour the bucket with the fish into the set up tank.

Then comes the aquascaping of course. I really want to create three zones. I want Queen to have her own side, the bichirs to have a zone where there are two snug hide-holes, and then a jungle gym full of holes and little caves and crevices for the loaches who love to explore and play. So we'll see how it all goes.

The tank I am getting was holding up fish and water when I went to visit so yeah. (since then the lady had moved them into a back up tank and has been cleaning the tank to get it ready.

I have several large plastic bins. I might go to the dollar tree or something to see if I can find anything of use there. I"d like to have them in smaller buckets that are easier to manage/maneuver.
