Oh wow yea you are hahah Well now you know it is an option if ever you have room :)

I always wanted Pangio kuhlii ....like 6. Gonna have to wait though because I dont have room either. well not room where I want it.

Today I added a Kribensis Cichlid!! She is beautiful!

I also 30% + water changes on all tanks. Some as much at 45%.

Added Noted flourish dose (first forum post) to each tank.

Betta 5 Gallon Overview:

Not much growth this week. Some of the roots in the anubias got greener. I didn't take details because of that.



Fry 10 Gallon Overview:

The Cabomba is growing like wild fire. The Java Moss is starting to get healthier. I cut the grass plant (forgot what it is called) and replanted it to grow more. Will do again twice to new stems next week. Cut off old bottom leaf of anubias on bottom left.

20 Gallon Overview:

In the 20 one of the Red Wag Platys died, I don't know why. The other one has not been eating well. No physical signs of any problems. The Male Molly is doing fine swimming happy and eating. There are a lot of snails in there.

I replanted some plants so stuff moved

29 Gallon Overview:

In the 29 I replanted the cambomba in the front because it came loose. It also lost half its leaves because of that. I also removed some lost leaves of vallis (2 in total).

I also added a Krinbensis Cichlid today. She is beautiful and swimming happy.

Here is the tank overview:
As you may notice the Vallis grew, the java ferns grew, the roots of the ludwigia are getting bigger and the leaves brighter. The sword is getting brighter.

Here is week number 3 of all the tanks. I have changed around the 5, 20 and the 29.

I added One 23W 6500K Bulb to both the 20 and the 29. Over head in the front. Flourencents are still in the back.

Here is the 5 gallon.

I took the Mondo Grass out and is now just the roots inside the tank.










Here is the 10 Gallon:

I cut the grass on the left and replanted it again. Now there are three stalks











This piece of Cabomba is really growing:

I added a black background. I put one more Cabomba stalk in and moved plants. i also added more lighting, you can see how it makes the pictures come out better

Here is the 29 gallon tank

I moved the main log back. I added 2 real pieces of drift wood. I moved the swords to the front and separated one smaller sword to the left. I replanted the Corkscrew Vallis and the Cabomba. I also added more lighting which will hopefully help the plants grow.

your tanks are looking nice! my fav is the 29g I like the wood in the middle, and that new piece at the front!

I am now dosing with flourish, so am eagerly awaiting the results! I managed to find some salvinia and dwarf water lettuce floating plants, so can't wait till they kick in!

I couldn't help myself, because of your video I acquired a lovely male bolivian ram... he is awesome, my favourite fish. Meet george..

I want to get something like that. I need to carpet the top and the floor of my tanks.

I was told that Prime neutralizes the effects of Flourish for 24 hours so you should only dose the Flourish 24 hours after you used Prime. I have started dosing on Thursdays (today) and changing on Wednesdays (yesterday).


If you like the Bolivian Ram you should really look at the Kribensis. I love that fish. I got a female so she would be less aggressive and its going great. She eats EVERYTHING.

I don't use prime, I just run my tap hard into my bucket and let the water sit for 24 hrs at least before adding it to he tank, I just figure it's less chemicals going in the tank.

I picked up the ram last weekend, his colour has changed so much! He is really blue and purple, and the black markings are much more noticeable now he's settled. Awesome fish!

I'll see if I can find some kribensis, but I really shouldn't add more to my tank....it's full lol. Only more plants I'm afraid.

The floating plants are great, can't wait till they are all furry at the top of the tank.

So you don't use any conditioner? How does the chlorine come out of the water....it just air distills? I can't see that working...

yeah, the water dechlorinates by itself within around 24 hours, or so i have been led to believe. I only used some conditioner to begin with, but haven't used any for ages and not had nay problems. fish seem healthy, and water parameters are always stable. I do have lots of plants, but still.. if i was adding chlorine when i water change then I'm sure i would notice a mini cycle if it killed the bacteria off..

let the experts step in here.....

I might pick some up soon, cause I sometimes would like to just add some water instead of having to wait a whole day.

another tank is a NO GO. the mrs won't allow it lol. the tank we got, is apparently far too much fish tank. she doesn't understand! maybe one day.
