tyvm Olympia for the info on the pleco poop :P and about the vinegar and rock, to make sure going to test my buddys rock that way to be sure its safe :D Now on the plants i ahve the ones were said to no be plants for being underwater fully my other new ones are, will they continue to spread as they grow? or should i continue to add plants of my liking that work into the tank? Finaly i shot the pic after doing a 25% water change so that could be why he is stressed? He seems happy swimmign around hidding between what plants there are and eating But maybe this new rock thats commign today will be good for him, my buddy said it has a pretty decent size cave for smaller fish :) again guys you guys have been very helpfull

Well as long as the stripe on him fades, that's a good sign. Water changes can be stressful on them.
I don't know what your other plant is, but anarchis grows really fast, you should notice within a few days.

No, it's not aquatic.. however I wouldn't take it out until it rots, or you get more plant cover.
Some good plants for you would be crypts, Java Fern, Anubias, though they are slow growers.. Anarchis is one you have, if you want another fast grower get a Hornwort. You want fast growers to get to the top of your tank quickly.

Sorry for the looooooooong lag but work and RL kept me away for a bit, i have 2 new rocks in that i got from my friend and tested and the fish just LOVE them. Sadly my crown betta died from reasons unknown, he was always active had a hidding spot, loved to be first in line for a little food so im thinking just old age. But went out today and got a new one(after about 1 hour looking over them all lol im sooo picky) And so far he is he seems to like it, hidding a lot but liking it and also got a new fish and you will prob see in the video. Since the last video has a slight ICK prob but with the right meds for the water it cleared right up. Been doing 25% water changes every 7 days and added another cory cat but after seeing the size of full growns may not add any more lol. Over all im highly enjoying my little guys and i do have A LOT of pets from birds to snakes :D Some day i may for fun post a video of my collection besides my fish... But over all my fish have fastly become a fav of mine(besides my dogs ofc) for the relax factor and glade i went with smaller schooling fish:D

Added a few more hiding spots next will add a bit more plants im just picky lol so far the luck bamboo has not been dieing but growing strong Thought it would start dieing by now but has been rooting and growing liek crazy! same with my other paltn within a week they all have started to branch! So so far im happy and love it! here is a up2date pic

Are there two gourami in this tank? With a betta?

Sorry it has taken to long to respond but been busy at work, yes they are 2 Dwarf Gourami fire and get along just great with my betta and black skirts, have lots of hiding spots so i think that helps a lot. Since the last post i took in a 3 dot gourami and would of kept him but to aggressive for my community tank. also took in a baby Jack Dempsey fish that currently in my community(he is smaller atm then my black skirt tettras atm) but soon going to be in a 60 gallon i am getting ready, cleaning up and re-finishing the stand.

Again sorry for a late late reply but RL ofc can keep you busy off the inet and a kid lol but my 20gal is doing wonderful and about to move it into my kids room. The lucky bamboo is starting to brown(after all this time) so been pulling it out but have enought fake plants for the time being to make them happy while i get new plants slowly. That's good, sounds like you have things under control!
You may want to consider getting the betta his own tank. 2-3 gallons is fine.. Betta and gourami are natural competitors, and you may wake up to a dead betta one day. In the wild these fish compete for the same resources and it can get ugly. The gourami are much faster and they can stress him out.

i been thinking on doing that and keeping him next to me on the desk, been looking into some of the ones petsmart has and they are a decent price. So far the only fish to give any probs to the betta was the 3 dot when i had him but he gen. messed with them all why he went to a new home. Odly the betta tends to bully the gourami's and tettra's when its feeding time and trys to hog all the food. That's the reason i been thinking, like you aid to move him to his own tank.

I got out this morning and cleaned the tank not sure if it is a 50/55/or 60 gallon from what i could measure its 48"Long(add a 1/4 or so if you add trim) 15"wide(again add a 1/4 or so with trim) and 17 1/4 tall(that with trim)
