What exactly would you like to know? It's a 20 High, the light is a 2 bulb power compact that I got second hand. I don't remember the exact wattage of each bulb but it was around 20-25 watts, maybe even a little more. The substrate is 3 bags of Eco-Complete. I dose comp once a week, about a cap full. I used to use excel but stopped after it made my vals melt. It's currently on an 8 hour photo period to limit any algae growth.

If I had to guess I would say you didn't have enough light. When I first planted the tank the baby tears did not take off well, but as I cleared some of the plants I did not like as much out it started to take off. Now, as you can see, It grows everywhere

I just realized you said you had 8wpg, so maybe less light. I honestly have no idea why they don't take off for you.

Me either... I can get the normal versoin of baby tears to grow but not H.C./cuba grass to carpet.

Over the weekend I tore this tank apart to plant my 55g. When the dust had settled I ended up replanting the 20g as well. Here is how it turned out.

A little update on this tank. I replanted it in April, here is what it looks like today.



The quality of the picture is not great. My camera battery was dead so I used my ipad.
